~(Y/N)'s POV~

"And he puts you in charge of almost every single energon mine?" Arachnid asked as she watched some passing vehicons. We were near a wooded area, a large hole in the ground where energon was thought to be, so far it was only a small deposit.

"More or less. Megatron tried to make me a commander of sorts, but I refused. I've got to much beef with Starscream as it is, I don't need more conflict with him."

"That and if you were made a commander, you wouldn't be as neutral as you claim to be."

To this I nodded, my processor roaming elsewhere as I stood by, watching as the drills were sent in once more. It was rather slow going, since the angle was odd, and the energon deposit seemed to be very far underground. I started to wonder if it was a false reading.

"I don't know why you asked me to come with you," Arachnid started to complain, "It's not like the Autobots are going to come around unless they know for a fact there's a large amount of energon here."

"I asked you to come for some company, unless you think that below you, dear friend."

"I dare say, you are an odd one. Usually I'm trusted by no one."

"I prefer to give others a chance to be on my good side. If that chance is blown then they're not worthy to be on my good side, simple as that." I shrugged.

We ended up leaving after a thorough search of the sight, finding enough for half a load, maybe not even that. Megatron wasn't to pleased with our findings, but let us go with only a scolding.

"You sure have him wrapped around you digit don't you?"

"Only because he himself put him in that position. All I do is follow orders to an extent."

"Not to mention simply existing. Whoever created you had beauty in mind, I'm almost jealous."

I remembered when Breakdown, Soundwave and I had created the blueprints for Wildstryke. I told them generic, but fitting for me.

"Please, I'm in no way as elegant as you."

"You under rate yourself," She laughed, "Have you looked in a mirror lately? Or ever? You're what every femme aspires to be!"

I found that hard to believe.

"I don't really think that to be true... But it's not like I'll know."

         "What do you mean?"

Scrap... how do I get out of this one?

"Well... um... you see, uh... I..."

Think (Y/N) think!

"Wait, were you raised by mechs?"

Mentally breathing a sigh of releif, I nodded my helm, accepting this as a valid excuse for not knowing of my surprisingly perfect form.

"Oh you poor thing, no wonder you've been able to stay here most of the time, surrounded by nothing but mechs, and not with those Autobots. I'm surprised we aren't fighting!" She started to laugh, making me snicker as I remembered my bouts with Arcee.

"Yeah, the spot of mortal enemy is taken, but thanks for the offer."

Together we laughed some more until Arachnid was called for something. I didn't know what, but it was a slight relief. I wanted to get back to my human form to take a break. I commed Soundwave.

         |: Hey Sound, tell Megatron I'm going back to my little hide away, need a breather from that last failure, might find something too, later. :|

I made my way to the hidden room we now use. The only reason Megatron doesn't know about it is because it was built while he was away, and while he may know every inch of the Nemesis, it's not like he makes a thorough search every time he clomps around. That and it's only big enough to hide my Cybertronian form and my human form, nothing else.

I moved a small crate, which activated a switch, allowing a small door to slide open on the floor. I had to lay on the floor to scootch in, but it worked, and I was soon hooking myself up to do the transfer. I woke up to find a vehicon just outside the trap door.

"OH! Hey Steve!" I waved, earning a wave back, "Could you take me to the medical wing? If you're not busy of course!"

Nodding, my favorite vehicon picked me up in his servo, and took me to where I suspected my devil car to be. Sadly, he wasn't there, and I found Breakdown in his stead.

"Where's Knockout?" I asked as Steve put me down on a counter, he waved goodbye and left.

"He went to do something, I don't know what." He didn't even look in my direction as he worked on something in the corner. Deciding to take a closer look, I made my way to another counter, and then hopped over to a computer console, then a metal tray, and soon found myself looking over his shoulder as I crawled to his left optic, his good optic.

"If you move that wire a little to the right it'll connect perfectly."

         "Thanks," He sighed.

"Let me build a substitute for your optic, it'll make things so much easier."

"No, it's a reminder of my failure, one I won't repeat."

"Just because you were downed by M.E.C.H. doesn't mean you should suffer for it."

"It wasn't because I was defeated by M.E.C.H.! They were HUMANS! Fleshy, weak HUMANS! The next time I see one of 'em I'll-"

"Well don't look over your shoulder now, 'cause you'll see your worst nightmare come back to haunt you all over again."

There was a long pause as Breakdown turned his helm to look at me, sorrow in his glowing yellow orb.

         "That's... I didn't mean you."

"I know you didn't," I placed a hand on his cheek plate, "but you must remember that it wasn't your weakness that caused this, but rather M.E.C.H.'s underhanded tricks and unwillingness to fight nobely."

"You're saying that to a Decepticon?" Breakdown chuckled.

"I'm saying that to a loved friend."

I kissed his cheekplate, giggling as I heard his cooling fans start up.

"You better be careful. Don't want Knockout to feel like you're cheating on him." Breakdown warned.

"Please, you could tell him I kissed your cheekplate and he won't care all that much. The only time he'd truly worry is if I kissed you full on the mouth."

Crossing my arms, I made my point. Breakdown didn't argue as I helped him wire whatever he was working on.

(Okay... I saw the suggestion for a specific chapter... buuuut that's not till later! I plan on making a different story arch for that one! Thanks for reading! Love ya'll!)
