~Knockout's POV~

It's busy in the med bay of the Nemesis, our preparation for what is to come taking up my time. Time that the Autobots think should be spent watching over Wildstryke, but I disagree. Finishing the final addition to the new insignia, I allow Soundwave to step off of the medical berth. He looks to his new symbol, the insignia of the neutral. A butterfly, in honor of the very femme whose world is threatened by the warmonger Megatron. We allowed the building of what is meant to destroy (Y/N)'s world, but we will not allow it to be used for that purpose. Soundwave, Dreadwing, the drones and I will defend Earth with our very sparks against the three that prefer it to be transformed into a new form of Cybertron. Of course, there are those who are too afraid of the possible consequences if we lose this inner battle. Those of the drones have asked for mercy on our side, I've decided that I will make my decision when we get to that time.

"Everyone to their stations," I ordered, "Make no move that will bring attention to you."

         "Yes my liege," they bowed.

I don't know how many times I've told them not to call me that. I've heard them call Wildstryke (though sometimes they use her human name) their queen. I explained long before our decision to go against Megatron that there are no leaders as a neutral, only a mutual trust between our created faction. Alas, the drones feel otherwise.

It was nearing time for our mutiny, and the change to their insignia went unnoticed. Though such a seemingly large detail, the three who have been marked as enemies don't seem to notice, of which I am grateful. Megatron will pay for the endangerment of my Sparkmate, Starscream will find that neutrals should not be taken lightly, and Shockwave will be exterminated, no longer a threat to (Y/N) or her father and brother.

"You sure this will work?" Roman asked as he jumped up to my shoulder plating, his green optics showing worry.

"No, but we have to try. You remember your part?"

"Like father like son." I heard the excitement in his voice, and I smiled slightly, though it disappeared quicker than it appeared.

I saw Megatron head out with Shockwave and Starscream to check on the newly made Cybermatter. Nodding to Soundwave, we followed, and slowly, the others came too. They were discussing things further as we all filed onto the platform, the Cybermatter now filtering into the new Omega Lock. The first to step up, was Soundwave.

"~Megatron!~" he mimicked the Autobot Leader.

"Soundwave? What is the meaning of this?" Megatron looked to his TIC's shoulder, "What insignia do you bear?!"

Soundwave gave no answer.

"Alright then, what mutinous faction do you lead now?" he growled, and I came out from behind Soundwave.

"He doesn't lead it, I do." I might as well go with what the drones decided, though only for this battle.

"A shame," Megatron sneered, "Then I suppose, you will have to say farewell to your sparkmate. Decepticons!" What was left of his army stood at attention, "ATTACK!"

"Spare who you can!" I ordered "Neutrals! ATTACK!"

I rushed after Megatron, who was about to connect his fisted servo with my helm, but I ducked under his chosen weapon, and allowed Soundwave to hit him in the faceplates. I went after Shockwave.

~(Y/N)'s POV~

It's so cold... I can't wake up... I hear nothing but a perpetual static that fills my audio. I can't tell if I'm dead, or alive, but I feel a distress that is not mine. A war rages somewhere unknown and somehow I'm a part of it. Why do I feel so alone? Why is there no one there to say it's alright? Am I truly gone?

         *Not yet, you are not.*

I open my optics, or have I? All I see is a black void, but my pedes are set firmly on the ground.

"Who are you?" I look around but see no one.

*I am one who can be trusted, but only if you allow me to reveal myself.*

         "I-I don't understand..."

There was a flash, and I shielded my optics until the bright light ebbed into a small orb big enough to sit between my servos. It's soft blue was comforting, and warm.

*This, is a spark, it's similar to who will be your true sparkmate, Knockout's, by accepting this spark into your own being, you will be able to see me.*

I thought for a moment, and the only reasoning I could come up with was that this...

         "P-Primus?"

The great being chuckled, and I could practically see the warm, and amused smile that would have graced his faceplates.

         *Yes.*

         "B-but how? I-I don't have a spark-"

*What little you do have, is enough for me to reach you,* he said, *I am offering you a true Cybertronian life, in return for all you have done to aid me in this war.*

"I-I have done nothing for you..." I was left in a state of confusion, earning yet another chuckle from Primus.

*Nothing, you say? You have protected both factions, a race I have built, and turned those who wished to destroy another race to that of the good path, the path of a hero.*

I looked to the floating orb, a spark, it's energy shooting out like electricity from time to time, just like Knockout's did when he showed his own to me. I stretched a hesitant servo towards it. Oh how I wanted it. To truly be on equal ground with my love. I stopped the slow approach, and let my servo fall back to my side.

"Why now? After I have lost so much?"

There was a long pause, and I thought he had left me, but the spark still hovered in front of me, so the offer was still there.

*Are you prepared for the truth?*

Truth? What truth could be hidden from me that I have not found? I nodded, determined to hear what he said I do not know.

*You never had, what you say you lost,* Primus explained, and I felt my confidence deflate, *The sparkling of which you bore, had no Spark to begin with, because you yourself, did not have one that would have merged with Knockout's to create this new spark.*

So it is my fault. I felt hot energon tears want to fall as I fell to my knee plates. Because of me... our sparkling had no future, no first breath, no first laugh. No first steps, first words. All because I myself, did not have a spark. It's all my fault.

*You are young,* he continued with a sigh, *and you have not let any obstacle stand in your way thus far, let me help you jump over this single hurdle.* The spark moved closer to me, and I could barely see it through the falling blue tears, *Take this spark, and join your legion, your family. Continue to protect them, for in return, they protect you even now.*

A small light appeared at my left, and I looked to it, seeing Knockout, almost the entire Decepticon forces, and the Autobots fighting to keep Megatron from cyberforming Earth.

"For my family," I raised myself from my knee plates, "I accept."

(Hehe, I can't wait to post the next chapter! I drew the insignia myself!)
