BREAKing news

~(Y/N)'s POV~

"What do you mean they didn't come back?" I asked Soundwave once again after I heard about the disappearance of Breakdown and Arachnid. He gave me his usual silent answer, I knew this to mean he had no more to say, and that the extent of the message was already relayed. I fidgeted as I stood on my shelf, the air tense. I could feel the tears want to fall, but I wouldn't allow them, not when there's at least a sliver of hope that they might be found!

"Okay then... will you tell me if anything comes up?" I asked, earning a nod. I thanked him, and prayed to Primus my two friends were okay. In the meantime, I wanted to take my mind off of it, and started to decode the file that had been giving me such a hard time. My mind was still plagued by the news though. The only one who came back was Dreadwing... perhaps I'll ask him about it as Wildstryke...

~Knockout's POV~

I watched as Soundwave left mine and (Y/N)'s berthroom. Walking up to him, I asked if he had lied like I asked him to. I didn't know if it was hard for him, but it was better that he did it than me. Breakdown wasn't actually found... and neither was Arachnid, but it can only be assumed that the wench turned on the two with her when she had the slightest chance, offlining Breakdown in the process. If she ever shows her faceplate again I'm going to bash it in, then take her apart piece, by piece, only keeping her just barely online so that I can hear her screams. Yes that sounded delightful

Not wanting to face my love just yet, I went back to the medical wing of the Nemesis, occupying my processor with the little project I started not to long ago. I hoped it worked, though there was no guarantee . There never is when it comes to experimentation though... I'm sure Shockwave would have done a much better job than I, but he is not here, and most likely would have found it "illogical", as he would have put it, and wouldn't have helped anyway. No matter, I can manage, though I will need (Y/N)'s help when I'm almost done with it. I worked with a practiced servo as I welded another piece together, but tore a wire in the process, and had to take it apart once again. This was the fifth time it's happened, and without the metal piece in place I'm at a stand-still. Reconnecting the wire, I started welding again, but stopped when a slender, pointed digit moved the wire out of the way before I severed it again.

         "Soundwave?"

~Soundwave's POV~

     Knockout: surprised.

Knockout's response: "Uh... thanks."

Task: help Knockout where needed until called for.

Log Start

Log: Knockout is worried for (Y/N)'s well being, so asked me to lie. I complied, though not without a heavy spark. His sparkmate was crushed, and is worried, but does not know the true story.

Hypothesis: (Y/N) will soon find out one way or another.

Log continued: I hope I am not hated by (Y/N), though hatred might be unavoidable. Laserbeak assures me things will be fine, but the future is unclear, of which I do not prefer. Knockout fills his processor with the work of this device to distract him, though the hatred for Arachnid is obviously seen. While I do not feel sorrow as Knockout does, I can help in keeping both him and his sparkmate occupied, the extra codes I placed in that file (Y/N) was decoding should keep her busy, though I did not like ruining the work she had put into it. While I did not know how much coding was left to decipher and break, I wanted to make sure she didn't do anything rash before thinking things through, at least to an extent. While I do not understand Knockout's plainly seen love for the human, I can admit having found myself to become... attached to the femme. She is an oddity among her kind, and interests me in why she is that way. Give her freedom, and she pushes her limits. Give her work, and she goes beyond what is asked. Take her freedom away, and she acts as if she still has that freedom in spite of boundaries set. Also, her acceptance of us and our ways. She claims to care less about her fellow race, yet she enjoys the luxuries the humans provide in the "Illegal world" as she states it.

"Could you get me that wire over there?"

     Task: Acquire wire.

         "Thanks."

     Task: Complete.

Log Continued: It is a shame Breakdown is now gone. If I were being honest, I would much like to see (Y/N)'s reaction to Arachnid's betrayal of her trust. Though this is only my own Decepticon mind-set taking hold, I would be lying if I didn't admit it to be of possible amusement. I hope to be around when Arachnid tries to explain herself, since I know her to have become attached to the Cybertronian puppet made for (Y/N), known as Wildstryke. Though the traitorous femme might not admit to it, Arachnid has come to love Wildstryke, though not in the way Knockout does. I find it hard to explain, but there is one word that might come close...

"I think I will retire for the night... thanks once again, Soundwave."

     Knockout: gone to recharge.

     Task: Search for Arachnid.

     Task: Decode files.

Function: Go to head of ship.

Command: -Laserbeak- Search for signs of Autobot activity.

Log continued: Family.

Log End

(So I saw the suggestion for Soundwave's POV and I got this idea! Though I was going to make a chapter like this already, I had planned it to be only in one point of view, either Knockout's or yours. I think this is better then the previous idea though. And I have no regrets of the pun in the title. NO REGRETS! Hope you like it! Love ya'll!)
