Chapter 9 : The New Guard

Your POV

Why did Travis ask me to hang out? Oh well, I hope it's fun though. Besides the perve side of him, he's quite nice and caring. Nah I shouldn't think of that, I gotta do duty things. I'm not entirely sure what I'm meant to do, all Aph told me to do was patrol and help those who need it. Sounded fun at the time, now it's just a tad boring. I think the guys had the right idea of staying in the guards tower.
"Um, excuse me miss..." I'm brought back from my thoughts by a little boy, around 6 or 7, he had messy brown hair and blue eyes. He's like a mini Laurence. I crouch down to his level.
"Hey there kiddo, I'm Y/N, what can I do for you?" I couldn't help but smile, he's so cute!
"My names Harry, and could you, um, help me?"
"Why of course, lead me to where I can help." He smiled and starting running, I steadily followed behind him until we stopped at a tree in the plaza.
"Up there!" He pointed to a grey and black cat up in the tree. "His name is Percy, and he won't come down." He looked down sadly. That's when I got an idea.
"Hey, I have a plan, but I need your help. Will you help me?" He looked back up, smiled brightly and nodded. I smiled.
"Okay, I need you to sit on my shoulders and reach up to Percy, can you do that buddy?" He nodded. Let's do this.

Laurence's POV

After the silence of the guards tower, I walked out to actually do my duty. I went to the plaza and saw Y/N, she had a kid on her shoulders and she was on her tippy toes. Hey that's Harry, my little look alike! She crouched back down to let him off, except this time he was carrying a grey and black kitty. Awww. They high fived and he left. I walked to her and hugged her from behind and spun her around. We were laughing. There's something that feels so great when I hug her, is it her Energy magics?

I finally put her down and she spun around and giggled.
"Hey Laurence, I was just with a kid that looked like you." She was smiling.
"Yeah, were you helping him get a cat down?" She nodded.
"Yup, its to bad, he was more adorable then you." Two can play at this game. She's getting better at smirking though.
"My kitten and puppies heart! How dare you." I fell on her, she caught me through the laughing.
"You take that back, or else." She was still laughing while holding me. Irene her laugh is addicting.
"Or else what tough stuff?" I stood up, turned and looked straight at her.
"Or else I will tickle you to death." She actually looked a bit scared. I had her.
"Good luck trying to caught me." And with that she took off, I ran after her. Wow is she fast. I managed to catch up and jump on her. Thankfully she fell on some grass. Payback. I started to tickle her. She was laughing so much, I started to wonder if she was breathing.
"S-stop, I-I can't b-breathe." I stopped and sat on her. I won, naturally.
"Fine, do you take it back?" She was still laughing. This was perfect.
"Y-yes, your more adorkable then Harry." I smiled then got pushed to the side as she struggled to get up. I got back up and helped her up.
"That's what I thought, beautiful." I smiled and grabbed her hand.
"Wanna go to the cafe and grab a drink?" I said, she looked at me and nodded. She tried getting out of my hand, it didn't work, so she gave up.

Kawaii~Chan was ecstatic as always, except, I may have added to that by walking in holding Y/N's hand... Kawaii~Chan introduced herself to Y/N, Y/N did the same. We ordered two milkshakes, a chocolate for me and a strawberry for Y/N. KC was already saying ship names. That's when Y/N made it so much worse.
"Wait, what's a ship? Don't you sail those?" You could see the disappointment in KC's eyes, she leaned over the counter and hugged Y/N and whispered
"Don't worry, Kawaii~Chan will teach Y/N~Chan the way of the ship. It's where two peoples names are combined to mean that those two are together." Y/N paused. She reaally shouldn't be learning this. But it's too late.
"But, we're not a couple." She whispered back. KC stood back behind the counter making the milkshakes. I swear I heard her say not for long. Not sure if I should be happy or scared. We sat down and got our milkshakes later. We chatted for a while. Y/N said that it was getting late and that she had to get ready for something. I wonder what? OH NO! Her and Travis are going on a date at dusk! Ughh how did he manage that. There's nothing I can do but pray it goes bad. Maybe one of the guys will do something, I hope so. I would but I need sleep, badly.
