We were sitting outside of my apartment with the radio softly playing. "You know, I expected to hate you and this entire night, but I'm pleasantly surprised," I laugh, leaning my head back against the seat and turning to face him.

"This might be the first date I've left without getting fucked," he replies with his mouth open.

I roll my eyes and unbuckle my seatbelt. "Here I am, trying to be nice about our casual dinner, and you have to go and ruin it for me," I gasp, grabbing my belongings and getting ready to leave the vehicle.

"What, not even a goodnight kiss? This is just not in my favor, Miss. Laine Bennett," he scoffs.

I deliberate for a moment. I raise my hand to my lips and blow him a kiss, to which he sticks his tongue out.

It was beyond clear that we brought out the child in each other. I think I might even be rubbing off on the guy. And not in the way he prefers.

"Goodnight, Austin," I smile, opening the door and stepping outside into the cold.

I close the door lightly and he rolls down the window, "Goodnight, Laine."

I turn on my heel and start towards my building. I wasn't going to be the type of person who turns around. I'm not giving him hope that I'll run back to his car and ride him like a mad man. Instead, I make my way into the building and don't give him a second glance. As the door closed behind me, I hear him pull away and out into the dark.

I woke up to Thea shaking me viciously. "Fill me the fuck in bitch ass," she vulgarly hisses as I wake up to her annoying voice.

"No. Go away. I'm still sleeping," I grumble, shifting positions in my bed so I faced away from her ugliness. I'm only being mean because I'm tired.

"No! You're supposed to be telling me what happened, who it was with, it's all crucial to my development!"

I turn over, "You're 21, Thea, you're developed enough," I say as I sit up in my bed, probably looking like a raccoon, "It wasn't that interesting. We just ate, took a walk, we didn't kiss, it wasn't anything like that so calm your tits," I groan, rubbing my eyes and pulling my disgusting mess of hair into a loose ponytail with the hair tie that I kept around my wrist no matter what.

"That's annoying. Why the hell didn't you kiss him you fool? I don't know his name, his face, all I get is to know he's rich enough to drive a Tesla."

I fall back into my bed and rest my arm over my forehead. "Just let me sleep before I have to actually wake up," I groan, trying to face the other side.

"Wake up for what? It's Saturday," she snorts.

"I've got plans, is that so hard to believe?" I ask, making her shrug her shoulders.

"Yeah, it is."

I toss a pillow at her, and burry myself under the sheets.

Just when I think it's all over, my alarm goes off beside me and I'm forced to peel my body off my bed like taking gum off a desk. It wasn't a pleasant sight, let me tell you.

To avoid anymore interrogation, I make a break for the shower and take my time in showering. Whatever keeps me away from Thea, I'll do it.

I do my usual morning routine and by the time I'm out of the bathroom, Thea was passed out on the couch. That's what she gets for waking up early just to question me.
