"You okay?" Carlos asked, pulling me into his arms. "What's wrong, baby girl?"

"I'm just worried about Aiden." I frowned and turned to Carlos. He pressed a kiss to my head.

"Hey!" A voice said before he could say anything. Carlos smiled and stood up, hugging the girl. "I'm Emily. You must be Vivian."

"It's nice to meet you." I said and shook her hand, forcing a small smile. I don't usually do handshakes, but I don't want the girl to think I'm jealous of her or something. We all know how some girls are.

She sat down and we all began to talk. But my mind started to wander off to Aiden from time to time.

"Vivian." Carlos nudged me. "You want something?"

"Water." I told the waitress and she nodded, walking away. "I'm fine." I said before Carlos could ask.

My phone chimed and I looked down to see a message from Aiden.

Thank God.

⚠️⚠️⚠️

Hey, Vivian. Just wanted to let you know I'm okay. I left some things for you at your house. I love you and you always remember that, lady. You remind me so much of my little sister. Thank you so much for always being here for me. I love you.

Pain hit me in my chest and I quickly stood up, running out of the cafe. I began running towards my car and got in.

I quickly started the car and drove as fast as I could to the mansion.

After a while, I made it. I slammed the car door shut and ran to the door, banging my fists against it.

Chase opened the door and I pushed him out of my way.

"Aiden!" I screamed as I ran upstairs. "Aiden!" I went to open the door and it's locked. Chase quickly came behind me. "Aiden, open this door!" I cried.

"Stand back." Chase gently pushed me and kicked the door down. Aiden stood there with a gun to his head.

"Aiden, please." I begged and stepped into the room. "If you do it, I'll never forgive you. I'll hate you forever. Please, put it down."

"Leave, Vivian. You shouldn't see this." Aiden whispered, pain in his voice. He sounds so broken. He cocked the gun and a sob escaped my lips. I raised a shaky hand to my mouth.

"Aiden, we'll get through it. I promise to stay by your side every second and help you through this. We'll do it together." I said and stepped closer to him. "Please, don't leave me."

Pain showed in his eyes and I placed my trembling hand on his. He allowed me to lower it down. Chase grabbed the gun from Aiden and I pulled him into a tight hug, allowing him to cry on my shoulder.

"I love you, Aiden. Don't you ever forget that." I held him tightly, trying to stop crying.

Aiden held me closer, hiding his head at the crook of my neck.

"How'd you know?" Chase asked as we went downstairs. Aiden fell asleep a few minutes ago.

I pulled my phone out and showed Chase the text Aiden sent me.

"He's in pain, Chase. Nate's death and the stress is making it very difficult for him. Remembering his sister and knowing many people are after him and his friends is driving him insane. And I'm not leaving until I know he's okay." I said, making it clear.

"Aiden...he's Nate and I's cousin." Chase said, sighing. And that surprised me. "He was very close to Nate. But Aiden never admits that. He never admits his feelings or anything."

I hugged my waist and looked away as I frowned. Chase made me turn back to him.

"Thank you, Vivian. I don't know what I would've done if I lost him too." Chase muttered, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Babe, can we go upstairs?" Veronica asked him and came towards us, taking Chase's hand off my shoulder. "I'm bored."

I gave Chase a small smile and walked away, going into the kitchen. Dylan smiled when he saw me, kissing me on the cheek.

"I need to talk to you." Dylan said as I grabbed two water bottles and a banana.

"In a bit. I have to get these to Aiden." I said and left the kitchen, making my way upstairs and going to Aiden's room.

And it surprised me to see he's awake. A smile formed on my lips as I walked towards him.

"Hey." I muttered and handed him the banana and a water bottle.

"Thank you, Vivian." Aiden mumbled and met my eyes. I wish I could take all his pain away.

"Thank you." I replied and hugged him. He hugged me back immediately, pulling me closer to him.

"My sister took her own life when I was eleven. I remember begging her not to leave me, but the memory of her pulling the trigger stays in my mind when I think about her." Aiden said, tracing circles on my hip. "I don't want you to have that memory of me."

"I'm sorry." I whispered, pressing a kiss to his head. "You're stronger than that Aiden. We'll get through this together; I promise."

I stayed a few minutes with Aiden and we talked. Virgil brought George up to Aiden's room to keep him company.

"I'll see you later." I told Aiden and walked out with Virgil. "Do you know where Dylan is?"

"He has a mission." Virgil replied and I slowly nodded. We separated once we went downstairs.

I went into the kitchen and gasped when I saw Dylan making out with some girl.

Not bothering to stay and watch, I left the kitchen. God, I hate men sometimes.

"Vivian." Dylan grabbed my arm and I pulled it back, glaring at him. "It's not what it seems like. This is what I wanted to talk to you about." He said.

"You kissed another girl! You expect me to not be mad?" I scoffed and pushed him away from me.

"Did you finish-"

"Now isn't a good time, Chase." Dylan stopped him and turned back to me. "Vivian, I swear it wasn't like that. She'd be dead anyway."

"Oh! So, you'll kill her after you fuck with her so she doesn't go telling everyone?" I shoved him back.

Yes, I'm being dramatic and dumb, but I'm so angry right now.

"Please, can we go upstairs and talk about this?" Dylan asked and grabbed my hand, pulling me close.

"God, I can't even look at you." I muttered and pushed him away from me, going upstairs and into Aiden's room.

"Vivian, look up!" George laughed and I looked up. Aiden poured a bucket of water down on me.

George and Aiden began to laugh and I couldn't be mad. Seeing Aiden happy makes me feel so much better.

"Come here." I held my arms out and Aiden quickly stopped laughing. He ran towards George and I went after him, pulling them both into my arms.

"No!" Aiden groaned and I laughed, making sure they get wet as well.
