A/N: As I told you, the story now takes place twelve years after the past events, that is, just after the Sandaime's death, when Jiraiya and Naruto went to look for Tsunade.

And as for the picture, that's what Akira is supposed to look like (Sorry if it's bad).

Anyway Enjoy!!

"Come on Kaa-san! Enough of that!!!" You could hear Mai shout angrily.

The lady was dragging her mother out of a casino, where the Sannin had lost all of her money (once again). Mai couldn't take it anymore. Her mother had that bad habit of gambling and drinking too much. Mai had tried many times to make her stop but all of her attempts had been a sheer failure. And the woman would never change. She was too old for that.

And Mai was now twenty-six years old. She had grown into a beautiful and tall woman. Even more beautiful than her own mother. During all that time when she had left the village to train with her mother and Shizune, she had managed to become much stronger as she had wished. And she had now a reputation. She had unlocked the Byakugō just like her mother. The tiny purple diamond mark on her forehead was the proof of it. And she had also surpassed her mother in terms of strength and medical ninjutsu just like what Jiraiya had predicted. She also now mastered Mokuton perfectly well as well as rasengan. Except that she hadn't been able to combine it with her water release yet.

"Mai! Wait! Let me help you!" Shizune shouted as she was running after her cousin.

Said woman stopped abruptly.

"Come on, let go of me!! I can walk on my own!! I'm not drunk!!" Her mother protested violently. But Mai would have none of it.

She released the woman that was supposed to be her mother nonetheless. She couldn't help but wonder from whom her mother had inherited that habit of gambling.

"How do you dare treat your mother like that!" Tsunade said sharply as she dusted herself off.

But Mai was completely unimpressed. She had never really been afraid of her mother anyway.

"It's not my fault if you behave like an irresponsible adult. You are not being a mother right now." Mai said plainly as she began walking away carelessly.

"Shut up!!! You are not my mother!! And you are old enough so I don't need to act like your mother anymore!!! And no matter what I do you have to respect your mother!!!"

Mai was not convinced anyway.

"Why don't you play Shōgi instead? It's much better for the brain yo know."

"Hmph! That's just a game for nerds!" Tsunade replied haughtily.

"But at least you don't lose all of your money with that 'nerd' game."

Tsunade glared at her daughter. She had changed so much with time. She wasn't the little five-year-old girl she used to be anymore.

"If a game doesn't make you win money, it's a waste of time." Tsunade said as she began walking away but at the opposite of Mai's direction.

"But you never win Kaa-San, so what's the point?"

"Enough! Just leave me alone!"

Poor Shizune was completely distraught by now. She didn't know what to do to reconcile the two women. It wasn't the first time they had been arguing about that. But it always led nowhere. Tsunade was stubborn as hell. And Shizune always found herself stuck between the two. But she dealt with that as best as she could.
