I walked over to Peter's house. My backpack full of my sleeping essentials. I knocked on the door, tipping back onto my heels as I waited. The door soon opened with Peter's bright smile meeting mine. "Hey, Pete." I greeted hugging him. He nervously patted my back until I let go. I walked over to his room since I was over a lot. Being one of my closest friends.

I threw my bag over to his desk seat, the seat moved on its wheels from the weight of the bag. Peter smiles sitting down on a different chair as I sat on his bed. "What should we do?" I asked him smiling. He hums in thought for a moment until he shrugged. "Just hang out. Watch Star Wars," he told me. "The normal," he added. I nodded sounding good to me. "Cool," I said jumping up and taking his hand.

I dragged him out to the living room. I placed the large DVD set out in front of us. "Should we go in chronological order?" I asked knowing what he will say. Peter nodded taking the first movie and placing it in the DVD player. I smile diving back onto the couch.

We watched the movie for a while. I sat in my normal position watching with a smile. Peter was on the other side of the couch watching the TV. It was getting hot so I got up going to turn the AC on but it wasn't turning on. "Pete, what's wrong with the air con?" I asked staring down at the remote. Peter got up walking over to me, he took the remote from my hands. "I don't know.." he sighed smacking it against his hand slightly. "I'll fix it later," he said his room is filled with screwdrivers and other things.

I sighed. "It's so hot." I huffed then looking outside. "We should go in the pool," I told him running to his room getting changed quickly. I walked out in some bathers that I had bought last weekend. I ran out into the pool diving in head first. I felt my hair block my view when I came back up.

I heard Peter running towards me. He jumped in making a large splash that washed over me. I covered my face to protect myself from the wave. I went back under the water to fix my hair spotting Peter under the water. I waved over to him. He rolled his eyes smiling as he swam away. I had come during the afternoon since Peter said his internship was keeping him busy in the day.

"How is the internship going?" I asked floating next to him. Peter looked over at me he looked slightly stressed at the topic. "Y-yeah. It's okay," he told me shrugging. I frowned lightly at his vague answer but I didn't push the topic. I continued to swim. "Wanna race?" I smile over at Peter. He nods.

We both go to one end of the pool. "Ready." I started placing my hand on the wall behind me. Peter followed this movement too. "Set," I started getting ready to go, Peter was looking ahead at the end of the pool. "Go!" I yelled taking off quickly I swam as fast as I could to the other end of the pool. Peter quickly came up by my side. I then held my breath going under the water. Peter touched the back of the pool. "I win." he smiles not seeing me.

He ducked his head down under the water. Seeing me holding my hand on the pool wall under the water. I laughed under water which caused me to lose a lot of air so I came back up for air. "I won," I told him smiling. He laughs at my smile. "Since when were you a good swimmer." he teased. I shrugged, "I have a lot of free time since you got your job." I replied.

He nods looking over at me, his hair was wet so it stuck to his forehead. Mine was slicked back from swimming quickly. "Want to go again?" I asked smirking. Peter shakes his head. "Your ego doesn't need to be any larger." he jokes to me. I nod agreeing.

I floated in the pool for a while, I looked up noticing that it was dark out. The main light source being the pool lights under the water. I saw the different stars in the sky and how they lined up. "Hey, look at the stars," I said in awe over to Peter. He swims over to me standing next to me looking up. "I guess we had lost track of time," he said his eyes following the outlines of the stars.

I moved closer to him so he could see where I pointed. I traced the constellations with my finger. "Do you see it?" I asked. He wasn't even looking at the stars he was busy looking over at me. "You weren't even looking." I joked going to gently punch his arm. He somehow caught my hand with ease and held it. "Peter?" I asked since he hadn't talked in a while.

Peter's grip on my hand was gentle. Not forced. I didn't pull it away. "Y/n, I love you," he told me his eyes worried as he looked at me. I felt my eyes winded. I pulled my hand out of his. "Peter.," I said in slight shock. He then looked down at the water. "S-sorry.." he sighed hurt.

I saw his pain from my words or rather lack of. "I'm sorry. Just forget," he said walking up the stairs as he got out of the pool. He walked away, his towel hanging on his shoulders. I stood in the water unmoving, shocked. He looked down at the floor as his hair dripped from it being wet. "I'll sleep on the couch." He said before walking away back to his apartment.

I blinked watching him walk away. I felt guilty for my answer. I eventually walk out of the water wrapping myself in my towel as I rinsed out my hair. My mouth was dry and my heart beating. I walked over to his apartment. Did I like Peter back? I have no idea. I stepped into his room. He had pulled on a sweater his hair still wet. He didn't speak to me, just walked past me as I was standing in the doorway. He held a pillow and blanket laying down on the couch.

I tried to stop him back he kept walking. I sat on his bed my hair in a low bun. I was overwhelmed with emotion and confusion. I didn't sleep that night. I just laid down staring blankly at the top bunk.
