I live in a world were whatever shows up on your skin will appear on your soulmates.

Y/n-

I swung my backpack over my shoulder smiling as I walked to work. My mother says backpacks aren't professional, I should buy a handbag. But that is a waste of my time. I can fit so much in this backpack for the less money. At least that was my argument.

I walked on set. Seeing my best friend Tom sitting over getting his makeup done. Harrison chatting to him. I jumped up behind them scuffing up his hair. His stylist gave me a dirty look. "Sorry," I said smiling a toothy grin. They shook their head but smiled. "Y/n!" Tom yelled standing up to hug me. I hug him back.

"When did you get back from school?" he asked smiling. Harrison hugged me next. "A few days ago," I told him pulling out of the hug with Harrison. "I wanted to surprise you on set." I told him. He nods smiling still. "Tom, it's time to film." A loud voice yelled. I smile over at him. "Go get them spiderman," I said sitting in his chair easily. He laughs gently waving as he ran off.

-After filming-

I stretched standing up from Tom's chair. He smiles over at me looking more tired than before. "Nice work." I complimented swinging my arm over his shoulders.

Harrison chuckles at how casual I was. "Y/n it's getting late. You probably still have jet lag." Tom said getting strangely protective. I nodded. "True.." I sighed. "Then, in that case, see you tomorrow," I said waving as I left my backpack hugging my back.

I sat in bed. Staring at the roof. Bored out of my mind. My body clock was completely thrown off, I wasn't used to sleeping for a good four more hours.

I twirl a pen in my hand. Before getting an idea. I begin to write across my hand.

'Hey Soulmate, you up?'

My writing was neat. Most people don't expect that from me.

'Hello?'

I see blue pen writing pop up on my hand underneath mine.

'Good you're up. I am crazy bored.'

I explained.

'Why is that?'

They asked in return making me smile.

'Details. I have to ask. Is it night where you live?'

I told him my curious nature getting the best of me. It was seen as rude and pushing fate to force finding out your soulmate. Something about tipping around cupid's back. I honestly don't know.

'Yeah, it is actually.'

They replied so quickly. With also neat writing.

'Cool. You should know about the rules but we can still talk. Well, sort of talk.'

Rules to communicating to your soulmate on your terms: Do not give names, don't ask their last name, be kind to them as they unknowingly love you.

And more but I gave up telling you about them.

'I do know the rules. So call me Hero.'

I nodded smiling at the nickname.

'Nice to half talk Hero. I'm Zipper.'

I wrote down my nickname smiling. I thought it was quite clever.

'Zipper. Well good to half talk to you too. I must admit, this may be breaking a few rules.'

Their writing was starting to go up my arm.

'Rules were made.'

I started. They cut me off.

'To be broken?'

They asked.

'No, for someone to find loopholes through.'

I sassily commented back.

'Hey, I should go. Work has been hard lately.'

Their writing made me frown lightly but I nodded.

'goodnight'

I drew a small moon next to my words. My whole left arm covered in ink.

-next morning-

I woke up showering. I looked down to see my arm had been cleared of ink. Meaning they had washed it off before me. I smile as I did know they were out there somewhere running at the same time as me. I made butterflies travel through my stomach. I walk on set the hair stylist looking over at me slightly worried. I raise a hand crossing my heart. "I'll be good," I told them before going to Tom's trailer.

I tap on the door. Seeing he was taking a while. I drew a small sun on my left hand. Writing 'good morning' next to it. Tom opened the door soon after. "Tom." I smiled hugging him tightly. He chuckles holding me back. "Morning," he said looking down at me. "As good as the sun," I said before walking down the few stairs and going to the set.

"Time for work." he sighed following after me. I smile.

Tom was on set in the middle of a scene. He froze, missing many of his lines. I looked at him worried. "Tom?" the director asked seeming as worried as me. Tom just sat there staring at his hand. I frowned standing up and walking over to him. The director went to argue with my movements but I didn't listen.

"Tom?" I asked shaking his shoulder gently. I look at what he was staring at. His hand.

His hand had a sun. My words were written next to it. I felt my feet sink into the floor until I couldn't move. He looked over at me standing up abruptly. "As good as the sun..." he whispered softly looking over at me.

"Hero?" I asked my eyes wider than thought normal. "Zipper." He smiles now getting the name. "Can someone explain to me what's going on?" The director asked annoyed. "Tom," I said then hugging him tightly. He rubbed the ink on my hand off. It leaving on his.

He held me tightly. "Who would have known?" he laughs out hugging me differently than before. It was protective and loving.

He then craned his neck down and kissed me. I was shocked at first but I soon melted at his touch.

A/n- I don't know either. It was an idea that I poorly executed. *Shrug*
