Simon's POV

"Children," Papa called out our attention. "Where's Aggie?" We didn't answer him, some of us giggled and some of us try to stifle our smirks. Aggie gave it away by her rattle jingling.

Papa opened the lid to the dish to see Aggie smiling while rattling her baby rattle. He picked her up and looked at her, "Oh Aggie," he started, "look at you, You're all.. cabbage-y.." he kissed her cheek, "...and Gravy-y.." he looked at us with exhaustion and frustration. "As was your intention, Nanny Whetstone has resigned from her post," We all have smiles on our faces that are filled with victory. "I shall go to the agency this afternoon and hire a new nanny. You will not drive her away as you have done with her predecessors." He added as he gave Aggie to Tora and left.

I stand up and walk towards the closet. I jumped a little as I see one of our scullery maids, Y/N, is arranging the shelves which made her block the cabinet. "Y/N," I called out. she turned her attention to me to listen intently, "could you excuse me for a second?" I requested as I looked at the cabinet, gesturing where I was going. She hit the realization and nodded in understanding and get out of the way.

She stood aside for a second until she heard a loud thump from the staircase. She rushed out of the room worriedly. "I still wonder when will we hear her voice.." Lily stated. "Just give her time, I'm sure she'll speak eventually." I said to her.

"You're just defending her because you like her." Eric stated teasingly. I rolled my eyes at him and opened the cupboard. "3 days, 8 hours, and 47 minutes.." We continued to discuss about it.

Your POV

I looked down to see Mr. Brown laying on the ground downstairs as he talks to Evangeline. They both smiled at each other as they finished their conversation. Mr. Brown sat up and said goodbye to Evangeline and left to find another Nanny. Believe me, I wasn't surprised when Simon and his siblings drove another Nanny away.

"Why don't you just ask him already?" I spoke up as I go down to pick up the toys Mr. Brown slipped on. Evangeline jumped at my sudden appearance, "Believe me, It's not easy, Y/N. We're different, i'm just his maid who couldn't even have a proper education, that's just bloody stupid."

Evangeline has become my family, my sister figure, I don't know what will happen if I lost her.

"I still believe you two will end up together." I remarked as I go upstairs and shrugged at her. She smiled and shook her head, "Then why Don't you do what you always tell me to do with Simon?" she retorted. I stopped at the middle of the staircase and look at her, "It's different, we're still young. And who would love an orphan who rarely even speaks to people besides you and Cook?"

"The one who sings gloriously? Everyone will love that voice of yours! You just gotta open up to others." She exclaimed. I scoffed and continued to walk up the stairs, "Keep on dreaming, Evangeline." I responded.

I was heading to the children's room to put the toys back where it belong. But there are still a few more toys near the staircase. So I picked it all up and continued to head to their room. Until I hear the front door slam shut and a furious Mr. Brown went straight upstairs to the siblings' bedroom.

I waited in front of their door with the toys in my hands, waiting for Mr. Brown to finish lecturing them. Him widening the door got my full attention and I straightened up. "...Before Supper?" I hear Sebastian asked. Their father paused, "Without supper." He corrected and left the room. He jumped when he came face to face with me. I scare a lot of people. "Y/N, I didn't see you there." He said with a relieved sigh. I just nodded and smiled a little as he left.

"..there are no more Nannies.." I hear Simon exclaim. I knocked on their door because I have manners. Once they saw me, they smiled and greeted, "Hello, Y/N." I greeted back with a nod and get in to place their toys on the table. I get back to the door and grabbed the knob as I get out of their room and close the door gently.
