Third person's POV

Friday, 7:50 p.m.

Y/N had just finished cleaning up after herself as soon as she was done getting ready. The answer as to why she was suddenly looking forward to this date with Benny still never came up to her mind.

Date.

She was even considering this event as a date. What was happening to her? She would usually slack herself off and procrastinate on getting ready in most events that were considered 'important' or 'special' as she never looked forward into going. How come she was all dolled up for this occasion all of a sudden?

Her mother even pointed out that she was looking a little extra presentable when she was styling her own hair. Teasing her to whom it was all for. Because of this, it made her pull out the fancy braid she put all her effort into and just simply put it into a half ponytail.

Her outfit wasn't anything fancy. It only consisted of a white blouse and a blue patterned skirt that stopped below her knees. That's all there is to it. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it to even wear her clothes that cost more than her casual ones.

Nonetheless, just as she finished packing up a little bit of money in her purse as well as a couple of little candy bars from a her secret stash of sweets in her underwear drawer, her mother called for her name

Nonetheless, just as she finished packing up a little bit of money in her purse as well as a couple of little candy bars from a her secret stash of sweets in her underwear drawer, her mother called for her name. "Y/N! Honey, your friend, Benny's already here!" She yelled from downstairs rather excitedly.

Y/N's mother was more ecstatic to see Benny. Mainly because she's been getting quite worried for her daughter that she's always cooped up in their house, not interacting with anybody. She always believed that her daughter should be hanging out with friends and always head out at the age of 16. Y/N's mother was glad to hear that Y/N was finally making friends. Let alone even more than just friends.

"Okay," Y/N sighed as she finished tying her white sneakers and stood up from her vanity chair, "don't worry, Y/N. This'll be over before you know it." She reassured herself before she got herself walking down the stairs.

After she finished going down the steps, Y/N grabbed her keys that were hung on a caddy beside the door. Once she caught the sight of Benny, a faint, tight-lipped smile appeared across her face.

Much to her surprise, Benny looked decent. Usually, he would wear a cowboy hat along with a trenchcoat as if he was trying to be mysterious. Compared to his usual look, he was wearing a flannel shirt with a jacket made out of brown leather. But of course, he could never let go of the sheath around his waist that consisted of a knife. Though, she had already gotten used to it.

"Hey." She awkwardly greeted while putting her keys into her purse.

"Hi." Benny replied after he snapped out of his daze, "You ready to go?" He asked, receiving a nod from Y/N afterwards.

"Mom! We'll be heading out now!" She shouted across the hall towards the living room where her mother was hiding. Or so she thought.

All of a sudden her mother appeared with a camera in her hand and a grin on her face. Y/N dreaded for this moment her entire life. She was never one to let anybody take a photo of her.
