Chapter twenty three: Vanessa's departure

*Vanessa's P.O.V* (a/n: bold isn't working idk why)

I jumped in surprise, and tipped over.

Screaming, I flung my arms out, the wind roaring in my ears.

I hated this, I had imagined a peaceful fall, but the ground sped closer, I closed my eyes, wanting it to end.

I heard a loud screech, as though from another world,

"Arresto Momentum!"

I began to slow, screaming incoherently for them to stop, to let me be, but I hit the snow, my vision blurred.

I had time to swear before everything went black.
