Chapter Twenty Six
"Harry slow down," I groaned nearly face planting on his wooden stairs. My tied VANS weren't favorable as they untied rather often and at this pace I'd be falling numerous times before we made it to our destination. Harry failed to slow down and continued to tug on my wrist to get me to walk up the stairs.
When we finally came to his a door next to his bedroom I'd assumed it was either a bathroom or his Mother's room. I didn't understand why either would cause such excitement on Harry's part.
When he opened the door a plain white porclein bathroom came into sight. The brown cabinet had a few stickers of princess's that I assumed Andy had placed beforehand. Harry's plain blue toothbrush sat on the counter along with his razor and a drinking cup. A small shower with a navy blue curtain was tucked in the corner next to a window that stay open.
"A bathroom?" I questioned as Harry let go of my wrist.
"What you don't find bathroom's interesting?" He mused walking foreward to hoist the far window up farther. I watched as he stuck one leg through the open window and grasped onto the edge of the pane. He hoisted himself all the way through as he stood outside the glass frame.
"Do you expect me to do that?" I asked crossing my arms and bending down to look at what he was standing on.
"Come on, Alexandra." He waved his hand motioning me towards him. "I'm not gonna let you fall." He put his hand through the window for me to take his. I glanced slightly to the right of me where I saw a side view of my face. My cheeks were red, my lips as well, and my eyes were brighter than usual. "Any day now," He spoke looking at me with his green bearing eyes.
I cautiosly stepped forewards to take his hand in mine, it was rough compared to mine and quite larger. I held onto it tight as he allowed me to place one leg outside the window and put my other hand on his. He practically pulled my other leg from the window before my feet came down onto the cement pannel of Harry's roof. There was a short incline about a food away from my body, making the temperature of my body sky rocket from nerves.
"Why are you always having me climb out your windows, Harry." I shook my head giving him a grin and attempting to hide my nervousness.
"What can I say?" He smirked. "I just love seeing that cute little ass of yours hopping out of a window."
"Harry Styles." I gasped holding my hand to my mouth playfully. "Who are you and what have you done with my Harry?"
"Your Harry?"
"Shut up," I blushed hitting his arm playfully. He gently held onto my forearms helping me sit down on the small area of flat cement. Even though it was half past four the sky was turning pink with a slow sunset and the wind was picking up. You could just barely make out slight outlines of stars covering the sky.
We sat for a few moments in silence, not touching eachother, besides our thighs that sat side by side.
"Where's your Mom?" I asked him looking towards his face. His eyes were closed and I'd really hoped he wasn't sleeping for that would have been quite embarassing on my part.
"Working late. Andy's at a friends until seven." He simply replied.
I nodded continuing to look out at the quickly changing colors of the sky. I looked at the falling leaves and felt sad that almost all of them were on the ground. Soon enough thanksgiving would be here and there would be no leaves left to look at, just a ground full of snow.
"Does she work late a lot?" I asked curiously.
"Depends on the month." He shrugs. "If its the winter and the heat bills are jacked up that's when she'll pick up a few extra shifts to cover our monthly bill. We've learned to manage." He shrugs.
