The Malfoys

Second year (y2)

I went to diagon alley with the Weasley's to get my things then the next day they dropped us off at the station , me and Ginny just managed to squeeze into a compartment with Luna lovegood and Brian Aidenson , but there wasn't enough room for everyone so Ron , Harry and Hermione continued searching for another compartment .

I actually really liked talking to Luna I found her very interesting , especially her wacky conspiracy theory's and her blunt truthfulness .
It's just so much easier when people tell the truth upfront , rather than trying to use hints etc

We sat for a couple hours talking about Luna's theories  and school subjects undisturbed ,until the door slid open at the hand of Draco and co. standing tall .

" what do you want ?" Ginny asked as I could barely look him in the eye

" nothing from you, blood traitor "

I noticed ginnys nostrils starting to flare but she held back knowing that she couldn't take on three 3 rd years , even if the others were  crabbe and goyle .

" Don't call her that Draco " I whispered

" did you say something house elf ? Have you finished all your chores or did Potter finally take pity on you and give you his other mouldy sock , even though that's more than you deserve " he spat causing Ginny to jump up

" lay off Malfoy!"

" or what?" He growled

I stood up behind Ginny to show my support
"Ooooooo now I'm scared the blood traitors house elf has joined her "

" what do you want Malfoy? "

" Malfoy. How formal of you y/n . I thought we were on a first name bases since you were my date at the party" he smirked

His words made my stomach flip

" mother wanted me to give you this as a thank you for filling in for our house elf " he said as he shoved a parcel towards me , I could feel the fabric of may dress concealed within the brown paper packaging

" even though we did already pay you and my father has got a job interview set up for your father , which apparently isn't enough " he muttered sending a wave of guilt through me

" bye then" I said starting to close the door

" bye . oh and y/n I'd be more careful if I were you . your parents are only an owl away "

I slammed the door shut and sat down in a huff

" why is he such an idiot ?"

" he's a lot worse than that " Ginny added making me smile .

Our joyful moment didn't last long due to the compartments  rapidly decreasing temperature , which was very unnatural . Ice started to spread across the glass , turning our frosty breathes into visible clouds. The train stopped  . Me and Ginny slowly made our way closer together as we stared out of the window till I saw something out of the corner of my eye pass by it look like a dark cloak , but it wasn't there long enough for me to get a good look at.

The rooms temperature slowly crept back to normal , but everyone still sat there in shock of what had just happen. Finally Luna broke the silence with some ideas as to what had happened when the train started to move helping me  drown out lunas theories and think .
