Accusations (y6)

" neville are you ok? What happened?" 

I ran to him and helped him to a chair. I got some water and a clothe to clean his face.

" the carrows" he explained as he winced in pain when I lightly touched his swollen eye.

"It looks worse than it is" I said reassuring him, when in all honesty I didn't have a clue.

"Why did the carrows come after you?"

"They're coming for all of us- they think we graffitied the halls"

"Really? who actually did it?" 

Just then Ginny rushed in.

"Neville I'm so sorry I just heard from Stanley"

"It's alright I'm alright" he reassured her.

"What's going on?"

"We sent snape and the carrows a message"

"What did it say?"

"What about quidditch practice?" I asked in confusion.

"I needed a cover and I swear didn't know they'd go after neville"

"Well why didn't you tell me I could of helped!"

"I didn't want to worry you" she lied.

" what's the real reason?"

" look" she stood up so she was facing me " I knew you had your date so Draco would be out of the way and I didn't want you to give anything away" this stung a bit. I know she had good intentions but she used me then lied to me.

"I wouldn't of said anything- you know that"

"I know I know but you would've of been worried then Draco would know something up"

"Don't lie to me again"

"Ok" she said sincerely.

"Promise me"

"I promise"

"I'll take him to madam pomfrey you go to dinner and act normal don't let them know they've gotten to us. If Draco asks just say I went back to get a jumper or something"

I took nevilles arm and wrapped it round me so I could support him as I dragged him to the infirmary.

"Oh dear you poor boy what's happened?" Madam pomfrey rushed to me.

"Y/n go Malfoy will notice your missing"

" you sure?"

"Yeah I'll be alright now"

I speed walked back toward the hall but before I could go in there I heard someone call for me.

"Mrs malfoy" the name made my blood boil but I kept a cool exterior.

It wasn't Amycus. It was Pansy with with Millicent bullstrode to back her up.
