It's You again God,

I heard You in the night reminding me to hold on and keep believing, even though I was experiencing discomfort. You reminded me that all I need to do in these times is call on the Name of Jesus and know I am protected from the enemy who wants me to think of all sorts of negative things and have me stay in a place of pain.

These particular words of I Won't Forget kept playing over in my mind:

Jesus, oh the wonder of Your name
Jesus, I'm forever changed
Jesus, oh the wonder of Your name
Jesus, I'm forever changed

You came in the night and tore down the walls
That held my broken heart
When all I could see lay ruined and scarred
Your light shattered the dark
(I Wont' Forget - Brian Johnson)

As I whispered Your Name Jesus, everything changed —Your light shattered the dark! I am so blessed to know You and follow You:

"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.""
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a wonderful promise that when I follow You, I will never walk in darkness because I have the light of life inside of me! Thank You for dwelling inside of me by Your Holy Spirit so even in those hours during the night when sleep was difficult, I was not alone and as I trusted You, I felt Your gentle hand on me as I drifted back to sleep. I surely can say:

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.""
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You so much for Your faithfulness to me:

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Thanks for joining me for this first chapter of It's You Again God. This was actually my last devotion from It's Me Again God 2 but it was very significant so I have shared it again.

As I began to pray and write on this particular morning, I noticed what I thought was a mistake. I had started all of my quiet times with the words 'It's me again God', because I would see myself as announcing that I was ready to talk to God and read His Word. This day was different —I wrote 'It's You again God'!

No it wasn't an accident! God had broken through into my world as He often does and I was acknowledging His presence! My posture was different, instead of talking so much, I was ready to listen and allow Him to lead the conversation!

I sensed God wanting me to start a whole new book: It's You again God! As always, I will endeavour to update daily and look forward to having you join me for the journey!

May God bless you greatly as you listen to Him,
Helen Louise ❤️
