It's You again God,

You break through the fog in my mind and bring me Your truths day after day! I am joyfully expectant as I wait for You!

"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'" So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:8-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank you for this important word concerning passing judgement on others. It's become an accepted way of life for the world to live this way.  People think they are entitled to judge others. Our culture even bases television programs around judging people and it's also very evident on social media.

However, we are all accountable to You only, so help me to live as though I believe this. Even now as I begin my day, without thinking, I am judging a neighbour who has an extremely noisy car engine! I admit that I think all sorts of judgemental thoughts about him when the engine is revved in such a harsh way that I'm sure it wakes all the neighbourhood! Help me today to turn my thoughts around and live for You. May I put aside all tendencies to be critical of others. Help me to instead show a spirit of love.

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
