It's You again God,
Today I am so thankful for Your Word which speaks and reassures me in all circumstances. Even when I have failed to live as I should, You speak of Your love and mercy:
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him.""
Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV
Your love for me is demonstrated so beautifully in the gift of Your Son Jesus. The cross speaks of Your incredible mercy because I did not deserve or earn Your favour.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8 NIV
Thank You for showing Your love in such an amazing way. You went all out and were willing to cover every sin, for everyone! You didn't stop at any of my sins and say they were too great to forgive. I see Your merciful nature all through Your Word from Genesis to Revelation and I have experienced it all the days of my life.
Every time I am aware of my own sinfulness, I am so greatly blessed as I remember all You gave up, so every one of my sins could be forgiven. Thank You so much! May Your ongoing faithfulness, love and mercy, continue to be the example I follow. Help me to rely on Your Holy Spirit who lives in me, to show Your love and mercy to others.
