It's You again God,
As I woke up to the new week, I heard You reminding me that Jesus is here. A little song we used to sing at Sunday School years and years ago was playing over in my head! I don't know where it could have come from as I haven't heard it for many, many years! It is such an old song, that can't find it on the internet and I can only remember the chorus, but I'm sure that You are just speaking to me with these simple but powerful words:
Jesus, Jesus is here
Jesus, Jesus is here
My heart tells me
That Jesus, Jesus is here!
Jesus, You are reminding me of Your words to the disciples:
"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.""
Matthew 28:20 NIV
You wouldn't be there in bodily form with them, but You were there in Spirit. How amazing it must have been to be there when You left the earth to return to Heaven:
"I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God."
Luke 24:49-53 NIV
The disciples still had joy because You promised to be with them! Paul continually reminded believers that You were still with them:
"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Galatians 2:20 NLT
"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong."
Ephesians 3:17 NLT
"Now your souls will be strengthened and healed if you hold steadfast to your faith. Haven't you already experienced Jesus Christ himself living in you?"
2 Corinthians 13:5 TPT
Yes I have! Thank You for speaking to me from Your Word and quietly reminding me of Your presence in my life. Thank You that by Your Spirit, all Christians can experience the hope of Your ongoing presence until the end of the age!
"And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!"
Romans 5:5 TPT
I look forward to this day as You live in me! You are here —my heart tells me and I am so blessed to be able to experience the endless love of God, moment by moment, cascading into my heart through the Holy Spirit!
