For the first time ever, Serena cursed her mother beneath her breath. At first, she made Serena climb what seemed to be a castle on the hill, seeing the gates barred, she then made Serena go all the way down the hill to 'catch her breath'.

"Mindless Maniac," she cursed while descending downhill.

The Raider Manor was situated on top of a hill, the way up was covered with grass and yellow colored stone path.

Beneath the hill, was a dense forest, the one Serena and her mother just cut through. Serena didn't want to descend down the stony path, according to her, the stones were so tough that it made her foot sole ache. Just when she set her foot on the grass hill, her shoelace got caught up in stone and she tumbled down the green slope.

It wasn't until she dug her nails in the cold soil that she stopped after being dragged down a little more.

Serena huffed as she got up, her mind was running in circles as she barely managed to stand.

She then collapsed on the floor and breathed heavily. After a few minutes, she took a glance at her nails. To her horror, they couldn't be in the worst state possible. Her once well-manicured nails were now broken, even bleeding. Luckily, she didn't feel a thing otherwise she would've taken the first ticket back to Kalos as Kanto didn't agree with her.

"The stupid house!" She yelled as loud as she could.

Serena wasn't the only one having a worse day, there was someone who had singularly 'the' worst day ever. And his name was Gary Oak.

True to his word, Charlus stood outside the airport. Gary found him wearing black shades and a blue t-shirt along with a pair of faded jeans. He was leaning against a blue coupe which shone intensely. Age had taken a toll on him, his once beautiful brown hair had now turned a mixture of brown and white. At first, Gary didn't even recognize him. But as he moved closer, a black dial for a watch, which he wore everywhere he went, gave it away.

"Hi, dad," Gary said as he advanced towards him.

Charlus took off his sunglasses, revealing a pair of beautiful viridian eyes. His skin had loosened and even wrinkles had set their homes at someplace's.

"I thought you wouldn't recognize me," Charlus said in his rough voice, "it's been what like ten years?"

"Fifteen," Gary corrected as he opened the shotgun, "it's been fifteen years."

Charlus gave a weak smile and nodded. He, like Grace, he wasn't meant to be a father and after Bethany died, everything went downhill. He had dropped Gary off at his fathers and set out to do whatever he found soothing.

He wanted to live, he didn't want a child to burden him down.

Gary glanced out of his window and found Serena getting in a yellow beetle with a young woman whose face was wrapped around in a scarf. He saw that scarfed woman throw Serena's suitcase inside the trunk and Serena gasp at it. Gary waved at her but she didn't seem to have noticed. He sighed and sank back in his seat.

His father's blue coupe descended down highways, seeing the familiar route, Gary had deduced that they were going back to Pallet town.

Ever since he boarded the Kanto flight from Sinnoh, Gary made a pact with himself that he won't ever ask why his father had called him, that he wouldn't even show the slightest bit of care so as to why.

But breathing the same air as him, Gary couldn't help but ask.

"Why do you want from me?" He asked harshly.

"Kids..." Charlus sighed, "we meet after fifteen years and that's the first thing you say."

"That's the fact, 'we' meet after fifteen years." Gary corrected as he pulled the blinder down which was on the top of his seat, "where the fuck were you for fifteen years!"
