The only one more steamed than the sun was Serena.

She was paired up with Ash despite their feud the other day, to make matters worse, there was Calem stuck between the two of them like a piece of tamato Berry between two pieces of bread.

Serena was handling the UER receiver while Calem and Ash were busy bragging about their past accomplishments.

"...then there was Unova where I met Iris and Cilian—"

"Cilian? From the Trio restaurant in Striaton Gym?"

Ash nodded, "We used to travel together, we were best buds, I haven't talked to him in a while but still—" his eyes traveled to Serena's, "he's still my buddy."

A groan escaped Serena's lips, "For God's sake let it go!" She cried, "it's been two years just forget about it!"

"I can't!" He argued, "all I see when I look at you is my best friend's face!"

"Don't you mean your ex-girlfriend?" She vexed.

"Who I dated is none of your business!"

Serena gasped in surprise, "Then why is it any of your business who I dated?"

"Because who you dated was my best friend! Mine!"

"He wasn't your 'best friend'! You used the three of us and never saw us again!"

"I didn't use you!"

"You did it!"

Ash harrumphed in response. "Who's next on your list now? Because I know you have a type, and it's my close friends!"

Serena was trying hard not to bury her fist in his stupid face, she wanted to argue but then thought of something much more fun. "I think yeah! Do you reckon Gary? But... I don't think it'll be fun because I slept with him last night!"

Ash scoffed and Calem gasped.

"You just fell asleep," he corrected.

"How'd you know? Because according to you I can sleep with anyone!"

"Of course I would think that! You slept with my best friend Clemont!"

A part of Ash wanted Serena to deny his accusation, say that his words were ridiculous and untrue. That she and Clemont had never slept together. But Serena didn't do either of those things, she pouted and looked away.

"You didn't!" He gasped dramatically, "you slept with Clemont?!"

"Scream!" She looked around, people were starting to stare, "so what? He was my boyfriend!"

"I can't..." Ash felt as if his heart was pierced, "you..."

Serena felt guilty too, she didn't come up with a snarky comment until Calem said;

"So... you didn't sleep with your girlfriend?"

Ash zapped his neck towards the two of them, his eyes widened with surprise. He then looked down at the floor which was answer enough.

"Oh my Arceus!" This time, it was Serena who screamed, "I can't believe it! Here you are making me feel bad about myself and you... uh! You're such a hypocrite!"

"I'm not!" He argued.

"I can't believe you!" She screamed internally, "you're such a...! Uh! When did you become such a misogynistic sexist!"

"Oh yeah? Well, when did you stop loving me?"

Serena stopped dead in her tracts, Ash's face had the same expression as hers. His eyebrows were etched so up his face if he'd frowned more, they would've fallen off.

Serena didn't date Clemont because she stopped loving him, she had never once stopped loving him. But Ash had never come back and she tries to meet up with him had failed, he'd always ignored her in the end.

"When did you?" She asked.

He shrugged, "Never... you didn't answer."

Serena took a deep breath, a few sweet words couldn't make up for the guilt and the pain he'd caused her yesterday and years before. "I think right now!"

With that, Serena stormed off.

Ash clenched his fist and refused to follow her.

"Well..." Calem said, "I think our job was to act discretely..." he looked around them, people were stopping to witness the show that was going on, "...I think we failed spectacularly."

Ash grunted, "I'm not in the mood, Calem, what do you know?!"

Calem threw his hands up in the air, "Alright, but if a girl that fine was in love with me, I know that I won't look for past relations to rub in her face."

Serena had been gone for quite sometime. Both Ash and Calem were getting worried but only Calem managed to voice his thoughts.

"She said she doesn't need us, just look into that UER!" Ash said.

"Speak for yourself," Calem scoffed, "she said she doesn't need you, I'm still on the market."

Ash clenched his fist. He already had a lot on his plate. The last time he spoke with Gary and Dawn, she'd said that everything was fine but Gary had asked him to kill him dead.

And then there was Serena, the not-so-naive Serena.

Just then, his intercom buzzed.

"Strike team Alpha," said Joanne, "respond."

Ash looked around in a casual manner before responding. "Copy."

"Where is your team?"

"They're... here." He cleared his throat.

"Really? Then why is Gamma asking permission to engage with a Pokemon Trafficking ring?!"

Gamma was Serena, his eyes lit up.

"Pokemon in Orre?"

"Did you not hear the word trafficking?"

"I did but, what's wrong with that?"

"Your entire mission is to maintain a low identity to capture unowns! This is the exact kind of trouble we're not looking to get into! Get your team in line before I change your status as a leader!"

A sigh escaped Ash's lips.

"What did she say?" Asked Calem.

"We have to help Serena," he said, "apparently she's engaged a Pokemon trafficking ring."

"Pokemon in Orre?"

"Did you not hear the word trafficking?!" He snapped, "let's go before she gets herself killed!"
