Ash decided not to fall asleep until they brought back Charlus, in case he...

But he couldn't help but still fall asleep.

In his dream, Ash was at a familiar location. At first, he couldn't quite recognize but the yellow stone pathway gave it away.

He was at the Raider Manor.

But from where he was standing, the Manor was hidden under the cliff. It was still daylight, the highest tower of the stone manor shone intensely under the sunlight.

The voice of crunched leaves echoed in the air, Ash turned back and saw two men walking down the hill, all clad in winter wears.

One was wearing a red pullover and the other one, a blue. As they came closer, Ash found out that they were Red and Blue, wearing clothing respective to their names.

"—I'm telling you, poop will be the worst." Red sighed.

"Better get to it now," Blue laughed, "I'm telling you after the labor, her soul will leave her body."

"Oh, I know how it's going to be,"

"You don't know the half of it," Blue laughed again, "I was with Diane yesterday when she had Braxton hicks, she squeezed my fingers so tight I feared that they would drop off."

James smiled at his best friend, "I can't thank you enough."

"Hey, come on now, it's Diane, I'd die for her if necessary."

"All right now you're overcompensating," a chuckle escaped his lips as their stroll continued. "I still can't believe it's... over."

"Neither can I." Charlus sighed, "feels too good to be true."

"It does... did you talk with Ailsa recently?"

"No, why would I?"

"I... I heard that the Apocalypse is reconnecting, into smaller teams this time."

The brunet rolled his eyes, Ash couldn't help but compare him to his son. The two shared a strikingly similar appearance, much like Ash and his father. But unlike the two of them, Gary and Charlus still have some major differences.

"Let it go, Jamsie," he sighed in frustration, "they're gone. Forever. We can live our lives now as we wanted to."

James smiled halfheartedly, "I..." he nervously scratched his ear, "I wanted to do this after the baby was born but... in case something happens..."

"It won't happen! You're at the Raider Manor! It's the safest place on Earth!"

"I know but... what if there is a rat? What if we're already sold out?"

"I'm that case, I'll kill the damn person!"

"Even though, just in case," he emphasized, "I want you to be his Godfather."

Charlus stopped dead in his tracts. His dark Viridian eyes stared into James's cinnamon brown with overwhelming emotion.

"First of all," Ash could sense an emotional undertone in Charlus's voice, "nothing will happen to you, I promise because if anything... does... I wouldn't be able to live with myself. And second of all... you're kid will be damn lucky to have me as a godfather."
