LIFE HAPPENS WHEN YOUR MAKING PLANS

MR. AND MRS. CAN DIVIT

Sanem awoke the next morning before Can. She was wrapped tightly in his arms. She had butterflies in her stomach. Today she would be his wife...Mrs. Can Divit. It seemed she has waited an eternity for this day to happen. After all the obstacles that stood in their way, this day was finally here. She reached up and kissed Can awake. He woke up and smiled at her. He said good morning, Mrs. Divit. Sanem said good morning, Mr. Divit. They both laughed. Sanem told him they better get up. They had a big day ahead of them. They both got up and dressed. Sanem went to make breakfast.

All their family and friends were outside getting everything set up for the wedding. It was looking beautiful. The flowers had arrived, and the food would be there shortly. Can told Sanem he was going over to his dad's house to get ready. He kissed her passionately and told her he would see her shortly. Leyla, Sanem's mother, Mevkibe, Deren and Mihriban entered Sanem's house. They were there to help her get ready for her big day. Leyla and Deren worked on Sanem's hair and make-up. Sanem decided to leave her hair down with only part of it up. Can loved her hair down. Her make-up was subtle; more of a natural look. She loved her dress and she knew Can would love it too. It was strapless with a long, beautiful train. Her veil was also long, embroidered with lace. The dress was held together with a long zipper that ran down the back. Sanem felt like a princess.

Can arrived at his dad's house to get dressed. He found his mother, Huma there with his dad. Can told her he wanted to talk to her. Huma sat down. Can asked his father to also stay. Can told Huma and Aziz everything that Yigit told Sanem before he burned her workshop down. Aziz immediately stared straight at Huma. Huma started crying. Can asked his mother why she would do such a thing. She knew Sanem was his life...his whole world. She knew how happy they were together. He asked her if she had a hand in the vehicle accident and Yigit trying to burn Sanem alive. Huma said no. She only conspired to keep them apart. She knew nothing about the vehicle accident or the fire. Huma told Can she changed her mind about Can being with Sanem when she saw how happy he was with her. Huma told him she tried to stop Yigit's vindictive ways, but he wouldn't listen. She thought he had left Istanbul. She had no idea he was still here. Aziz called her a vile, heartless woman. He asked her how she could play God with her son's life. Huma said she thought Sanem was beneath Can. She lived in a yard, had no money and no class. Huma always thought Polen was Can's perfect match. Can looked at his mother and told her to leave. He told her in case she didn't understand, he not only wanted her to leave this house but his life. He told his mother she no longer existed to him. Aziz got up and held the door open for her. Huma left in tears. Aziz told Can he did the right thing. Can thanked his father for always being there for him and accepting his love of Sanem. He also told his dad he knew it was him who started the push in getting them back together. Aziz told him true love only happens once and you, my son, have found it. Aziz also told him he was happy his lion had found his life's mate. Can hugged his father and then went to get ready for his wedding.

All the guests had arrived for the wedding. Friends, family and co-workers all came to help Can and Sanem celebrate their happy day. The table with chairs were set up in the front for Can, Sanem, Leyla and Embre; since Embre and Leyla were their witnesses (maid of honor and best man). Everyone was seated and waiting for Sanem.

Sanem exited her house on the arm of her father, Nihat. They were both smiling. Sanem sought and found Can's eyes. His eyes were shining with love. He had a huge smile on his face. Sanem could not take her eyes off of Can. He looked so handsome in his tux with his hair neatly in a bun. Can never thought Sanem could look more beautiful, but she did. She was absolutely stunning. She took his breath away. Sanem and her father made their way to where Can was waiting for her. Can took her hand and walked her to her chair. They both sat...side by side. Leyla was sitting beside Sanem and Embre was sitting beside Can. The ceremony could now begin.

When it was time to say their vows, they had decided to say their own. Can went first; He said, Sanem, you are my other half, my heart and my everything in this world. I never thought I would meet a woman who I wanted to share my life with. You drove me crazy, made me laugh, made me angry but the most important thing is you made me a better person. You made me want things I never wanted before. You made me see things in a whole new light. I have learned to trust people again and this is all because of you. Since I have met you, you have intrigued me. You were like the wind and I could never catch you in the palm of my hand. I now know, you were worth the chase and I am so thankful you let me catch you. I love you, Sanem....now and for the rest of my life.

Now it was Sanem's turn; She said, Can, I loved you from the first moment I met you. It took a while for me to finally admit it to myself. I had never been in love before and it scared me. You were so worldly, and I was just a plain, naive girl that lived in a district. I just never thought someone like you would ever be interested in someone like me. The day you told me you fell in love with me was the happiest day of my life. It took me a while to say it back to you, but I meant what I said that day...I loved you more than myself. We have overcome numerous obstacles to make it here today but loving each other helped us overcome them. Today my dreams are coming true. I get to spend the rest of my life with my one and only true love. I love you, Can....and I will continue loving you for the rest of my life.

Everyone was crying and smiling. They thought the vows were said perfectly. They exchanged their rings and were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Can Divit. Can was told he could kiss his bride. Can stood up, took Sanem's hand and pulled up to stand beside him. Can bent her over his arm and kissed her with everything in him. All the guests applauded for the happy couple. After all the guests, one by one, hugged and kissed the happy couple, it was time to eat. Everyone sat down to eat all the wonderful food. Sanem and Can kept feeding each other, stealing kisses in between each bite.

After everyone was finished eating, it was time to dance. A slow song was playing. Can stood up and held out his hand to Sanem. She placed her hand into his and he led her out to the dance area. He took his wife in his arms and held her close. Sanem put her arms around her husband and held him close. They stared into each other's eyes while they danced. They stayed in each other's arms through 3 songs, not even realizing the first song was over. Sanem then danced with her father, Nihat. Can went and asked Mihriban to dance. She was his father's first love and she treated Can like he was her own son. Leyla and Embre joined them, as well as, Bulut and Deren. Everyone was enjoying themselves and were happy for Can and Sanem.
