"Mum, I have to go." I giggled. My mother currently had her arms tightly wrapped around me in a hug and she showed no sign of letting go anytime soon.

It was Heidi who came to pry her away. "Don't hog her, Jessica." She spoke before throwing her own arms around me in a hug. She however didn't make it last too long. She pulled away and smiled at me. "When you get back, maybe we could sort out your awful clothing choices." She spoke as she tugged on the scarf that I had around my neck.

"She hasn't made her choice yet, Heidi." Aro spoke up from behind her, where he stood with an arm around my mother.

"Although she would be a fool to not choose to come back." Caius spoke from where he stood behind them.

Athenodora hit him in the chest. "Caius." She scolded him.

Caius cracked the smallest of a smile. Or at least what he considered a smile at me.

"She knows that I was only kidding."

I shook my head. "No. I really did not." I spoke with a nervous smile.

Athenodora smiled warmly at me. "My husband is just trying to say, in his own twisted way, that we'd really like it if you came back to us, Sophie."

I hadn't really got acquainted with the older members of the volturi in my three week stay here but they seemed nice enough. Especially Athenodora who treated me like a daughter in her own ways. Marcus couldn't be here for my departure. He was apparently checking up on some vampires in Bulgaria. I forgot that that's actually what these guys do. They maintain peace in the vampire world.

"If Sophie is going to be sharing clothes with anyone, it's definitely going to be me." Jane spoke as she stepped forward.

Heidi crossed her arms over her chest and let out a scoff. "Oh please don't. We don't need another person wearing the mediocrity you call fashion."

"It's better than dressing like a slut.' Jane snapped at her.

Heidi smirked at her. "Honey, at least I get-"

"Girls." My mother spoke causing them both to quiet down.

Demetri let out a snort of a laugh. "Busted." He muttered.

"Shut up." Jane hissed at him. For a minute I thought that they were going to go at it but I had realised that they all had too much respect for my mother to ever actually fight in front of her.

Jane reached forward and hugged me. "You better come back soon." She spoke as she pulled away. "It will be nice having a sister who I don't want to strangle."

"Gee... love you too sis." Heidi spoke in a bored tone as she examined her perfectly manicured hands.

"Don't you mean 'sister in law'?" Felix spoke with a smirk.

I instinctively turned to look at Alec who was standing behind Aro and my mother.

He actually looked just as embarrassed as me. The only difference is that I could actually blush.

"Shut up, Demetri." Alec muttered.

"Just saying." Felix spoke as he pulled me into a side hug.

"But now that I think about it." He continued. "Isn't this like incest? You know? Since Jessica is technically both their mother?"

"It's not like they're related, idiot." Jane pointed out.

"It still counts. Jessica? Won't you feel weird knowing that your kids are getting it on?"

"Felix, behave yourself." My mother spoke sternly though I could tell that she did feel a little uncomfortable about Alec's and my relationship.

Not because we technically shared the same mother but she had expressed her worry and concern to me earlier. She had told me what everyone else seemed to be saying, that she really and truly loved Alec but that he had a history of messing with other girls. She wanted to make sure that I wasn't getting in and over my head and that I wasn't just rushing into this to forget about Emmett because she didn't want to see either of us get hurt.
