Calum

I walked into the changing room and greeted the other cheerleaders.

"Hey, girl." Samantha smiled as I stripped off my clothes and got my cheerleader uniform out.

"Hey." I returned.

"You looking forward to the game?" she asked.

"I guess. It's just a normal game." I shrugged.

"It won't be for you. Rumour has it that Calum is going to ask you out if they win the game." She admitted. My eyes widened.

"Calum, as in my best friend, Calum?" I scoffed.

"Yeah. He's had the hots for you for ages." She giggled.

"Since when?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.

"Jesus, you're so clueless." She laughed. I chuckled before heading out onto the field. Soon enough, the football team ran out as we cheered. The crowd went wild as Calum ran out onto the pitch. He looked at me and winked. I returned it, making him laugh as he kicked the ball onto the green pitch. The match started and the players kicked the ball back and forth. The ball was kicked to Calum and he set off running towards the other team's goal. He kicked it straight into the net, making the crowd scream. The other cheerleaders and I cheered as we raised our pom-poms.

There was twenty seconds left of the match as Calum ran down the pitch with the ball at his feet. He kicked it into the net and the whistle went. We screamed and cheered at the win of our team. Calum ran up to me and threw his arms around my waist, picking me up. I squealed as he spun me around, his face buried in my hair. He put me down and grabbed my face before crashing our lips together. I quickly returned it as my arms curled around his waist. He broke the kiss and looked at me.

"I've wanted to do that for as long as I can remember." He admitted.

"So have I." I returned. He smiled before leaning down and kissing me again.

Calum

I sat in the stands next to the football pitch, waiting for the school team to run on. I hugged myself tightly, pulling Calum's jersey further around my body in a weak attempt to stay warm. Suddenly, the crowd erupted into cheers as the football team ran out, led by Calum. He looked up at the stands. His eyes darted about, trying to find me. He caught my gaze and he smiled before sending me a wink and making me laugh. He returned it before running onto the pitch and starting to kick the ball about.

The crowd cheered as Calum scored another goal. He smiled and ran over the grass, looking at me.

"You're doing brilliantly." I mouthed at him, making him smile at me. Suddenly, a member of the other team shoved harshly into him, pushing him down immediately. My eyes widened as the crowd gasped.

"Calum!" I yelled as I ran down the stands and onto the field. I ran up to him, pushing past the crowd of his team that were gathered around him.

"Fucking hell." He groaned as he gripped his leg, his eyes squeezed shut. I looked up at Luke.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Some sore loser from the other team shoved him down before stamping on his leg." He mumbled. I scoffed before looking back at Calum and crouching down beside him.

"You're going to be alright, Cal." I promised, taking his hand.

"It hurts, babe." He groaned, tightly gripping my hand.

"I know, babe, I know." I nodded as the school nurse rushed to us.

"Let's see what's happened to you." She tutted as she took his leg. He screamed out as she touched it.
