Then he looked at me and motioned for me to sit in Colby's seat. I did, looking cautiously at the door, ready to jump up if he walked in.

"Colby will be back soon. He's just grabbing something to eat."

I shrugged. "Okay, what's that got to do with me?"

Sam just laughed and turned back to the guys. "Elton, Stacie is in your room waiting on you."

Elton smacked his lips and grinned at me again. It was always so damn wicked looking.

"Time to eat." He said suggestively, then stood up and walked out.

Once again, I was in this room with Kat's mouth currently too occupied to talk to me, and Mike and Elton were on their phones.

Fuck it. I pulled out my own phone, and opened Instagram. I didn't make a conscious decision to stalk Colby's page. I really didn't. Somehow my phone just automatically went to his profile, and I once again started going through his photos.

I went all the way back to the one where he was standing with that girl and he was smiling. He looked genuinely happy. There was a light in his eyes and his smile didn't look forced. The girl was beautiful; tan skin, chocolate eyes that sparkled, lustrous thick black hair, and a smile that was warring with Colby's on being the most beautiful.

I read the caption. "Emilie, you will always own my heart."

Damn...I couldn't imagine the Colby that I barely knew being that damn sweet and sharing it on Insta.

I scrolled down, and noticed a few more pics of Emilie posted on his page. The girl could have been a damn model. I was lowkey jealous of her beauty. I would never have that easy grace that she portrayed in these photos, or that hair. Jesus, her hair looked amazing.

I was so engrossed in these pictures, I didn't notice when Colby came back into the room. I felt someone gently kick the bean bag that I was sitting on. It startled me, and my phone fell out of my hand, screen up onto the floor. I reached for it, but a ring clad hand shot out like a cobra striking, grabbing it off of the ground. Wonderful.

I slowly looked up at him, my face one of guilt, I'm sure. He was staring at my phone, the mask that usually hid his emotions, cracked,  his finger on the screen.

"Why are you looking at this?" He asked, his voice stern, but rough, emotional.

"Sorry." I said, reaching to take my phone back.

For a second, I didn't think he was going to give it to me, as I saw his fingers tighten around my phone. I honestly thought that my phone was about to shatter in his hands, but in the next second, he released it and placed it back in my hand.

"It's fine. It's a public profile." He didn't meet my gaze and the mask was back in place, his face just as hard as it was before.

"Um..do you mind if I ask who she is?" I felt like I probably shouldn't be asking, since it was obvious that she wasn't in the picture anymore...but just in case.

I couldn't be kissing someone if they were involved.

"Emilie," was all that he replied, before sitting back down in his spot.

"Well, I know that. I got that from the caption." I noticed that everyone in the room was watching us now, listening to our conversation...if you could even call it a conversation.

Colby glanced up from his own phone that he had just pulled out. The angry face was back, this one a little scary again.

"That's all you need to know."

I stood there chewing on my lip before I walked to the couch and sat next to Mike.

That's fine if he doesn't wanna tell me. I'm surprised he didn't question me about stalking his damn profile anyways. It wasn't my business. I get it...but damn it, I really wanted to know!

What kind of girl was she to be able to make this hard, impenetrable man smile and become someone completely different than who was sitting in front of me? It blew my mind really.

All of a sudden a huge white wolf with different colored eyes came charging into the room straight for me.

I screamed and jumped onto Mike. His arms came around me and he started laughing."Circa, sit. Quit scaring her."

"Oh what the fuck?" I breathed out, as the the white wolf sat down and started thumping it's tail against the floor, like a playful pup.

Elton came in behind it and closed the door. "She won't hurt you...unless I tell her to."

I was still too jumpy from that scare to even think of a good comeback. These guys were making me seem soft, instead of the smart ass that I was used to being. Damn it.

I detached myself from Mike, and slowly moved back to my spot.

"She's just like a dog. Chill." I heard Colby's monotone voice, and my eyes snapped up to meet his gaze.

"Well, she fucking scared me." I replied smartly.

How the fuck was I supposed to know that she wouldn't rip my throat out?

His eyes were burning into mine again.

"Yeah, enough to make you jump on someone you barely know. Have a habit of doing that, huh?"

oh fuck you Colby...and that's what I said.

"Fuck you Colby. You don't know anything about me."

"Colby, bro, chill. She was just scared. Circa is massive," Mike said, holding his hand up.

"Was I talking to you Mike?" Colby snapped back, his glare going to Mike.

"Oh shit," Elton laughed.

 What was funny about this?

"Why do you care who I jump on anyways? You go from hot to cold, not to mention that I've literally only known you for maybe 24 hours. What do you want from me?" He stared at me for a second, then stalked towards me.

Why did I feel like I should run?

"Brother..." Sam said quietly, but Colby just silenced him with a raise of his hand, before he grabbed my arm, pulling me off the couch.
