Between hearing Prissy's rumbling purr, and feeling Colby's hand tracing circles along the small of my back where my shirt rode up, it didn't take long for me to drift off. This time there were no nightmares. Only peaceful dreams of mini-golf, intense kisses, and a blue eyed man that might be making me fall in love with him.

When I woke the next morning, light was shining through the curtains, and I didn't see Colby anywhere. He was buried underneath the blankets, head to toe. Prissy was lying on top of the blanket mountain, probably along his hip, I think.

I checked my phone, and jumped up swearing.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I exclaimed, yanking my clothes off so that I could change for work.

No shower this morning. I didn't have any missed calls from my boss but I was 3 hours late. This was not gonna look good.

"Damn it!" I hopped around for a second after slamming my toe into my closet door when I opened it.

"What in the hell is wrong with you?" I heard a muffled groan come out from under the blanket barrier.

"I'm late! Why didn't my alarm go off? This is so fucked up. Mr. Roberts is going to be so pissed."

Colby drew the blanket back a little so that he could peek out from under.

He squinted his eyes against the sunlight.

"No, he's not. Your alarm went off but you didn't wake up, so I shut it off and called your boss. Told him you were sick. He understood. You're fine."

He let his eyes trail over my body, which I had yet to put clothes on, before he pulled the blanket back over his head, blocking him from my view. I snatched my shirt back on quickly, feeling my face heat up.

"What? If my alarm didn't wake me, why didn't you? You knew that I wanted to try and go to work today! Colby, that's not your choice to make. I barely know you and you're trying to control me? Get up!" I was yelling by the time I finished.

He groaned again, but didn't come out from under the blanket.

"I'm not trying to control you! If I wanted to, trust me, I would, much better than you think." He drew the blanket down again, glaring at me. "You were exhausted. Yesterday took a lot out of you. I was trying to help. You needed to rest. I saw that when your alarm didn't wake you. It always wakes you. I'm not getting up." His voice was rough with sleep, and I swear I could feel it caressing my skin...but I was pissed.

He could've woken me up.

"That was a dick move. You had no right to call my boss, or to shut my alarm off. I'm going to work. You need to leave."

"Oh for fuck's sake Chloe!" He exclaimed, snatching the cover completely down, scrunching his face up against the light again.

It wasn't even that damn bright in here. Prissy didn't even meow at him, just moved over on to the bed and lay back down.

"Your alarm was driving me crazy. You wouldn't turn it off, and you wouldn't get up. I called your name a couple of times before I gave up. I thought you might want your boss to know why your weren't coming in, instead of just not showing up. That's what would've happened if I hadn't called him. You're not going to work, and I'm not leaving. Nor am I getting out of this bed right now. Unlike some of us, I haven't been asleep for that long and I'm still fucking tired!" His face was hard, and annoyed.

He pulled the blanket back over his head, huffing out a breath, grumbling something to himself.

Sounded a lot like "annoying ass female. Better be glad I love you. Fuck."

"What did you say?" I asked haughtily, propping one hand on the hip that I popped out.

I was in a mood now and I couldn't stand it when people muttered under their damn breath. Be real and say what the fuck you wanna say.

"Can you go back to being the non annoying, non bitchy Chloe that you were last night? Please, just until I can get a couple more hours of sleep." His voice was muffled again, like he had his hands over his face.

I shook my head, and gritted my teeth.

"No, I can't. This is who I am, take it or leave it. I'm going to work and you're getting the fuck up and out of my apartment. You think I'm just going to leave you here?"

He didn't answer me at all. Fuck this. I stalked over to the bed, and snatched the blankets off of him, throwing them to the floor, pissing Prissy off in the process.

"Get the fuck up!" I screamed.

His blue eyes widened in surprise, his eyebrows going up.

"Make me." He challenged.

"Uuuuuuhhhhh" I groaned in frustration, and grabbed his arm, trying to pull him from my bed.

He was like a damn Mac truck, not moving one centimeter. Honestly, it was like trying to haul a sack of bricks around or something. He couldn't possibly weigh that much.

Next thing I know, I'm flying through the air, bouncing on the mattress, before he's hovering over me. I sucked in a breath at how close he was, his lips only a breath away from mine. Even though we had been cuddling all night, this was different.

"Get off me!" I demanded, trying to make my voice believable at least.

He shook his head as he smirked at me.

"Not until you calm the fuck down. Don't you wanna go see Katrina today? and the others? I made the call and it should be fine. If you start having flashes, we'll leave."

I barely registered what he said, because I was too lost in his clear blue eyes, noticing the prominent shadows underneath. "Huh? What? Ye-yeah, I guess." I sighed, and glanced down at his full pink lips.

As I watched, his tongue darted out to wet them before drawing his bottom one inside his mouth and biting down with his top teeth. Oh fuck, it was too early for this.
