AUTHOR'S NOTE****

Sorry guys, I know I'm not posting as much. Life is crazy hectic but I'm doing my best. Hope you're still enjoying it. I'm trying to ready all of the comments even though I can't respond to them. My wifi is so crappy. I try and then it doesn't load so I'm just letting you know that I do see them. Stayed at the hospital half of the night with my Mom last night. This was supposed to be posted then, but things happen. Just wanted you to know that I love you guys and if you could maybe spread the word about my stories to someone that you think will like them, it would help me out so much! Also if you like the chapters, then please hit that little star! Thank you and I love and appreciate you guys!

"You're not going anywhere." I growled at Chloe, grabbing her wrist as she walked past me.

This was fucking ridiculous! I didn't even do anything!

She tried to snatch away from me, but I kept my fingers tight around her wrist, so she whirled to face me.

"You can't force me to stay with you Colby! I know you're used to everyone doing whatever the fuck you tell them to do, but that's not me and it never will be! Let. Me. Go!"

"I'm not trying to force you to stay!" I exclaimed, letting her wrist go. "Go, if you wanna go! You just can't go alone. There are others out there that will take advantage of the fact that you're leaving by yourself. Just wait until the party is over and then I'll take you home."

She shook her head. Of course she was going to be difficult.

"No one outside of this house knows anything about me." Her eyes were flashing at me.

Damn, I really knew how to piss her off I guess.

"Trust me, I never had a vampire problem before YOU came along!"

I sighed as she stalked out my door. Shaking my head, I darted down the hall towards her and got in front of her, stopping her from going down the stairs.

"Chloe, I'm sorry about the girls. I told you that there would be a lot here. I don't really see what I did wrong though." I honestly didn't.

Riley was running her mouth, but I let her know that Chloe was my girlfriend. She was just jealous so I let her be butt hurt.

Now Casey...well, I was a little pissed at Chloe, and Casey was just saying hi. Maybe I should've stopped her from getting so close to me, and maybe I shouldn't have kissed her cheek, but it was innocent. It's not like I was going to snatch her up and take her to my room.

Hell, I don't even think my junk works for anyone except Chloe anymore.

Chloe rolled her eyes at me and poked me in the chest.

"That's the problem Brock! You don't see what you did wrong? But you see how you reacted when I kissed that guy, right? So how do you think you would feel if you rounded a corner and saw me all pressed up against him, hugging him, his lips touching my skin? You'd be okay with that?"

Anger roared up inside of me watching the images pop up inside my head. When I saw Chloe grab Dean like that and just lay one on him...I was going to kill him. He was an innocent bystander who she took advantage of, but I was going to kill him.

No one had the right to touch her. Not anymore. She was mine and always would be.

There were no excuses, and Dean was a buddy of mine. That's the only reason that he didn't actually die.

"Okay, I get your point." I growled out, reaching for her arm again.

She couldn't possibly think that I was going to let her leave. Not with Millie out there gunning for her. Of course, she didn't know about Millie, but still.

She would probably still be just as hard headed as she's being right now, thinking that she can take on a psycho vamp. She snatched away from me again.

"Damn it Chloe, stop being so fucking difficult! Can't we just talk it out?" I trailed my fingers down her arm, staring into her eyes. "Maybe make up in another way?"

I wasn't going to fuck her. I probably would kill her. It was too soon, and she wasn't fully recovered but I could make her forget that she was mad at me, and make her see that she was the only girl that I cared about.

She leaned towards me till her lips were a breath away from mine.

"There's nothing left to talk about. I need some time to get my head on straight. This has just been too much in one day." She pressed her lips to mine, catching me by surprise, then pulled back. "I'll talk to you in a few days Colby. I'm going to go home, get some rest, and get ready for work tomorrow."

She pushed past me and started down the stairs.

"What the fuck Chloe? You're just gonna leave? Like none of this mattered? You know that I can't be without you. I can't even feed on anyone else! You've ruined me and now you're leaving me? I don't have that option, ya know! You're it for me." I was yelling down the stairs, disregarding the looks from everyone at the bottom who were openly interested in what was happening.

I didn't give a fuck what they thought.

She turned around slowly when she reached the bottom and looked back up at me.

There were tears swimming in her beautiful hazel eyes, and her heartbroken expression made my chest ache.

"It all mattered Colby...and I'll always love you. You ruined me too. I know that no matter how hard I fight it, I will probably end up right back here, arguing with you, possibly watching you be with someone else."

"I wouldn't-"

She shrugged.

"Doesn't matter. I think I'm so fucked up that I would just deal with it. I don't like that about myself. That's not who I am and I'm letting you change me. I can't do that. Even for some damn curse that says that I have to." She walked off, leaving me standing at the top of the stairs.

"It's not a curse. It's destiny." I said softly, watching her go.

After a moment of just standing there, looking like a damn jackass, I shot down the stairs, looking for Sam. I found him in the living room standing with Elton, Jake, and Corey.

"You guys saw Chloe?" I asked nonchalantly.

Sam stared at me for a minute then nodded towards the hallway.

"Kat's outside talking to her. Trying to get her to stay. You can't let her leave alone. You know that. Why in the hell did you fuck it up Colby? Things were so good."

I scowled at him, before turning to go find Chloe. "Because I'm a fuck up Sam. It's what I do." I yelled behind me.

I walked outside, and spotted Kat's blue hair over by Sam's car.
