I'll Meet You There

Chapter seven

                         -Two years later-

Cal wiped the counter and stacked some cups. It was 10:45pm and his bar shift ended at 11. He heard a sweet voice ask for some water so he filled a glass and turned around to give it to her. She looked...familiar...beautiful...and way way out of his league.

The pretty girl drank in silence for a moment and then she spoke again.

"Calum?"

Cal turned around and then he noticed. He noticed her eyes and her lips and the way her voice sounded. She had changed, but not much. And now that cal had noticed, it was unmistakably his ex fiancé

"Haze...." she nodded. "Oh my god hi!" Cal wiped his hands on his apron and walked around the bar to hug her. She smiled. "How have you been?!"

"Okay, you?"

"Just...just here." Cal shrugged and smiled a bit

"Thats good. I actually gotta get going but here," she wrote down her number on a napkin and gave it to Calum, "call me."

"I will." Cal hadn't smiled this much since she left all that time ago.

"Bye cal." She smiled and walked out of the bar.

Later that night cal sat down on the couch with the napkin in hand and dialed hazels number.

She answered. "Hello."

"Hazel it's Calum!" She giggled

"I know it's you silly." Cal laughed awkwardly

"Well...how have you been?"

"I've been good...really busy, but good. You?"

"I've been...good. Not so busy tho."

"Yeah...so have you met anyone??"

"Like...romantically?"

"Yeah." Well now it was awkward.

"No....h-have you?"

"For a little while..." ouch.

"Well I hope that went okay for you...." he sure as hell hoped it didn't.

"It was okay...maybe we could meet tomorrow?"

Cal lit up "tonight!"

"Yeah sure!"

"The bar?"

"I can't...it'll be too loud..."

"My place then?"

"Yeah. Is it our old place??"

"I...actually sold that place...I'll send you my address tho."

"Okay...see you soon." She hung up and cal sent her the address

About an hour later the doorbell rang and cal rushed over to open it.
