The Doctor was fixing some things within the Tardis when Yaz comes towards her.
"Doctor?" she questions
"mhmm?" The Doctor turns to her
"Do you have any idea why the kitchen had some dirty paw prints on the floor?" Yaz raised an eyebrow
"Huh?" The Doctor scrunches her face up
"Dog prints on the kitchen floor Ryan and Graham and me have no idea why they are there and Ryan thinks it is most likely an alien pretending to be a dog. Graham and I think that's ridiculous but is it?" Yaz wondered
"Well, some aliens can disguise themselves so no it's definitely not ridiculous Yaz definitely not" The Doctor turns and presses some buttons near the console screen as the Tardis makes some sounds and the Doctor raises an eyebrow.
"Well Yaz" she says Grinning "Absolutely no unknown aliens here but" she puts her hands up "There is indeed a dog somehow."
"A dog," Yaz says more of a statement than a question "I gathered that Doctor but why? Where did it come from?" she now questions
"No idea" The Doctor spins on her spot "But" she grins and points "let's find out" and off in search of the dog.
First of all, The Doctor and Yaz went back to the kitchen, were Ryan and Graham sat eating lunch.
"Hi guys" The Doctor greets as she sonics the paw prints
"This is not mud mud" she looks around her
"Excuse me? What do you mean?" Graham was confused it was clearly mud right?
"It is fake" The Doctor replies
"Fake mud? Or fake paw prints?" Ryan wonders
"Mud, it's from the Tardis forest it's not real, may look it, smells it, feels it, and tastes it but ain't real" The Doctor smiles.
"So there is a dog on the loss then?" Graham was rather a tad confused
"Yes and we need to find it and find out how it got on my Tardis" The Doctor puts her sonic away.
"You tried asking J? She hasn't come out of her room all day?" Ryan suggests "Oooh what if it is her Ellie's prints?" he says.
"Really?" Yaz says "Rat paw prints?" she laughs.
"It's a big rat though" He defines himself
"We have seen her paw prints though definitely not her prints son" Graham says given him a little sympathy.
"Right yes" Ryan says sitting down.
"Good point though we should ask J" Yas says as Ryan sits.
"Ahhh Yes, maybe she's seen the dog" The Doctor smiles.
Everyone follows in search of this mysterious dog and for J.
They got outside J's door and could hear barking and giggling coming from within, The Doctor opens her door
"J?", The Doctor and the Gang say in union as they enter her room.
They see her playing with a dog and her rat, she was holding some rope thing that one end had the rat tugging on it the other the dog as her hand takes the middle as they have a tug a war game.
She drops the ropes and turns to the door and awkwardly smiles as she says "Pa?" She pauses and coughs before she says "Hello".
"Who's dogs this?" The Doctor asks getting right to the question
"Oh erm", J says rubbing the back of her neck.
"Mine" her eyes widen as she awaits reactions.
Yaz nudged Ryan "Told you so" she whispers, on the way to J's room they made a bet that she had something to do with this and Yaz giggles. Graham looks at both Ryan and Yaz and shushes them.
"When did you get a dog?" The Doctor wonders.
"Erm well I adopted her when I saw her escape and then brought her here so she and Ellie could become friends and she can keep Ellie company when we are out." she grins awkwardly. "Her name is Trouble, cause she caused a lot of trouble escaping her last owners who was abusing her might I add" J says looking down at Trouble as she tears up.
"They called her Dog just dog but I give her a name and she loves it don't you beautiful" she says hugging her new dog.
"Please let me keep her" she stands up and smiles widely at The Doctor.
The Doctor sighed "Okay~" she was cut off by J yelling yes.
"Thank you, Thank you Dad" J says hugging her dad as the dog wags her tail and the pet rat jumps up on top of the dog back and lays down.
"But, you have to clean up after her and that means clean the kitchen don't let the Tardis do it" The Doctor says as J Pulls from the hug looking puzzled.
"What?" she asks
"The Floor" The Doctor raised her left eyebrow
"Why?" J wonders confused
"The Dirty dog paw prints in the kitchen" Graham laughs seeing she had no idea
J looks her new family member and the dog looks guilty looking.
"I see,'' she laughs "okay i will do, but- but I get to keep her WOOHOO" J yells the woohoo.
The gang laugh at her excitement and the Doctor grins thinking how big of hearts her daughter really has how strong she is and how her love for animals is. It makes her happy to see and she can tell the dog is very happy to be with her and living in the Tardis now, but one question was on her mind.
She goes back to an earlier question "When did you get her?" The Doctor asks
"Yesterday" J grins
"Oh, good was not looking forward to having you say you have been hiding her for weeks or months without us knowing, would not want a being living in my Tardis without me knowing," she says.
J laughs at the Doctors response a little bit awkwardly and guilty.
