"Hey! What do you think of this notebook?!" I asked Bakugo, holding up a notebook with kittens on it.

"Ugh. It's lame." He said, holding one up that had explosions and skulls on it.

I laughed at him as I put the notebook in my basket. "Come on. Let's get some pens, next." I said to him as we walked over to the other side of the store.

I couldn't help but notice he was a little.. Different now that everyone was gone. He was a bit more calmer and relaxed. He didn't get angry at anything I had said, even if I knew it was something stupid.

I picked up a pack of black ink pens, then my eyes widened as I saw a pack of rainbow gel pens with glitter. "These.. Are so awesome." I said holding them up for him to see. He only rolled his eyes. "That's lame, too." He scoffed at me. I chuckled at him, putting them back on the rack.

"You aren't getting them?" He asked, looking over to me out of the corner of his eyes.

I shook my head. "Nah. You were right. I spent too much on clothes. I don't have enough money for them." I looked up at him and gave him a warm smile. "It's okay, though!" I told him. "I won't die without them. C'mon. Let's check out and get out of here." I said as I headed for the checkout, him following close behind.

After we checked out, we made our way out of the store and headed for the exit of the mall. "Hey, Hot Head." I instantly recognized my new nickname from him. I turned and faced him, my brow raised. "Yes, Hedgehog?" I replied, grinning.

"Don't fuckin' call me that!" He yelled, holding out a small bag for me to take. "What's this?" I asked him, confused.

"Just fucking take it." He grumbled as he shoved it into my hands and began walking again. I opened the small bag, my eyes growing big. "B-Bakugo! You didn't need to do that." I held the bag close to my chest, catching up to him. "Seriously, I'll pay you back." I told him.

"They're just gel pens. Don't worry about it." He grumbled. I looked down to the floor, feeling a bit guilty. In the bag was the rainbow glitter gel pens I was looking at, and he ended up buying them for me. I knew somehow, I was going to pay him back.

As we arrived at the exit, I heard Bakugo lowly curse. "What's wro- Oh." I said, looking outside the doors. It was pouring rain, and it looked like it was raining hard.

"I didn't know it was supposed to rain." I said as I tilted my head to the side. Bakugo ignored me, pulling his phone out. "The train leaves in 15 minutes, we're 5 minutes away. I'm going to buy us some umbrellas real quick and we will head that way." He said as he took off to a nearby store.

I looked out the doors. Just 5 minutes? Would a little rain be that harmful? I shifted the few bags around in my hands, putting the clothes on top of the stationary. I had planned on washing the clothes when I got back to Midnight's house, so if they got wet it wasn't going to be a big deal.

"They only had one damn umbrella." I heard Bakugo's voice behind me. I looked back and saw he had one small umbrella in his hands. He tried handing it to me, but I shook my head and pushed it back to him. "We can share." I told him. "Tch. Fine." He said.

We walked outside. I shivered instantly, feeling the cool breeze against my skin. I felt goosebumps rise on my arms and the back of my neck. I looked up at Bakugo, who had opened the umbrella and stood close to me. "Hold onto my arm." He demanded. I obeyed, wrapping my arm around the one he was holding the umbrella with. I didn't think much of it, since I assumed this was for us to be as much possible under the umbrella. I did, however, lightly blush as our sides touched.

Walking in mostly silence, the rain and wind began to pick up. "Shit. We're almost there." He said, getting soaked on his side.

"Oh, it's just a little rain." I laughed at him. I had an idea. I let go of his arm, and rain ahead of him, getting drenched in the rain.

I started to laugh as I twirled slowly in the rain. The water making my hair fall straight down my face. My outfit was now completely soaked.

"What the hell are you doing? You're going to catch a cold." He growled at me, but I couldn't help but notice the very small smile that crossed his lips.

"It's just a little rain, Hedgehog." I continued to laugh as I pranced along the sidewalk. He followed behind me, rolling his eyes.

"If you fuckin' get sick, I'm gonna laugh at you." He growled at me. We finally made it to the train station. By this point, I was completely soaked from head to toe.

We boarded the train. Bakugo took one look at me and smirked. "You look like a wet dog." He said. I shivered a little, now feeling cold. "Well, you look like.. Like a hedgehog." I retaliated. It was a lame attempt, but it was something.

He rolled his eyes and scooted closer to me. "I didn't bring a jacket. Stand next to me." He demanded. Again, he looked away. I did as I was told and looked up at him. Here it was, that nice side of him again. I didn't know exactly how to process it. So far that I knew of him, he was loud, obnoxious, and self-centered. But this side? This side was different.

We rode the train in silence. Thankfully it wasn't crowded like it had been earlier. Although he demanded I stay close to him, we still managed to have some breathing room.

The train had finally made our stop. When we got off, we were surprised to see that it had stopped raining.

"Look how clear the sky is!" I said, looking up at the stars. It was still somewhat hard to see them because of the street lights, but you could still get a nice view.

"Yeah, yeah. Come on let's get you home." He said, not even bothering to look up. I huffed and followed him closely.

"Hey Bakugo?" I called to him. He looked back at me. "Thank you for today." I said, smiling at him. "Whatever." Was his response. "I needed shit and so did you."

We made it to our houses. "Go take a hot shower before you get sick." He demanded of me.

I let out a small sneeze. "Okay. I will." I told him as he huffed. "Great, you're getting sick, dumbass." He said, shaking his head.

"Noooo. I'm going I'm going!" I ran towards the front door. "You take a shower too! You smell!" I laughed as I shut the door behind me. I could hear a slew of curse words and yelling. I laughed, dropping the bags and kicking off my shoes.

When I walked through the house, I started to shiver again. Midnight must have the AC cranked.

It was odd, this feeling of being cold. I never got cold. Usually my fire would keep me warm, but this time, it didn't feel like enough.

I saw a note on the counter. Midnight was going to be late again. I shrugged my shoulders. It wasn't like I wasn't used to being alone. I made my way upstairs where I stripped my wet clothes off and tossed them in the washer, then headed for the shower.

After I was done I got dressed in some comfortable pajamas, and sat at my desk with a blanket wrapped around me. I still felt cold, and I hated it.

I took out some paper and the gel pens that Bakugo had bought me. Looking up, I could see him at his desk as well. He was reading a book, with a towel placed over his neck. He must have gotten out of the shower, too.

Another hour had passed, and I felt dizzy. I got up and walked over to the bed, collapsing in it. Holding my phone up to my face and squinting at it, I decided to text Bakugo.

Hot Head:
I think you were right. I might be getting sick.

King Explosion Murder:
For fucks sake. Did you take a shower?

Hot Head:
Yeah. I just feel so cold and dizzy. I think I'm going to pass out for the night. See you tomorrow.

King Explosion Murder:
Get better. Night.

I locked the screen on my phone, closing my eyes, thinking about today.

"I wanna spend more time with you.." I whispered to myself, before finally drifting off to sleep.
