His First and His Last

Andrew's POV

For some reason I couldn't fall asleep. It's like I was waiting for something to happen.

I just played 2k til I felt tired.

"Bubba, are you sleeping?" my brother asked as he attempted to lift my eyelid

"Yes" I mumbled

"Then how come your talking?" he asked next

"Cause I'm sleep talking" I then replied

"Aww man" he replied hoping off my bed

I peeked one eye open to see him walking out the door.

I crept up behind him "Rawr" I said as I picked up and grabbed him, scaring him

He screamed and then laughed as I set him down. After that we did our morning routine. And got ready for breakfast.

"Hey mama! How are you and the little one" I asked sitting down at the table.

"Hey baby" she replied "me and the little one are doing good" she said as she rubbed her belly

Tania Barnes' (Mom) POV

"Can you call Ralphy and invite him and his mom over for breakfast?" I asked dru

I had seen Ralphy's mom around town and it didn't look like she was looking too well. Ralphy is like a third son to me and I want to make sure everyone's ok

"Yea mama" dru replied

"Thank you baby, I've missed you" I said coming behind dru and wrapping my arms around him. I closed my eyes wanting to remember this feeling of my son in my arms.

I finished cooking my husbands favorites when he came waltzing into the kitchen. He was whistling with a newspaper in his hand. He looked good too. In his dark grey business suit with the tie I picked out for him.

"If you wasn't already pregnant, you would be, looking at me like that." He whispered in my ear.

This baby has my hormones all over the place. I was ready for any and everything baby making related.

I bit my lip as I got everyone's plate together. The doorbell rang and dru went to answer.

I set the plates down seeing Barbara and Ralphy walking into the dinning room

"Hey, how are you?" I asked Barbara as I gave her a hug

"Hey mrs. lady, I'm doing well. How are you?" she replied

I pulled back from the hug and could see the extra wrinkles she accumulated over the years. Her tired eyes even with the make-up. I could see something was wrong.

"Hey Barbara" My husband said coming over and giving her a hug.

"Mrs. Barnes, your glowing this morning" Ralphy  said coming up and giving me a hug

We all sat around the table and talked and laughed. If I thought this felt like old times, tonight definitely would. By the time everyone was finished eating. Barbara and I went outside to the garden to catch up.
