9th month of the Yumas Calender

"..." [Clover]

Clover hesitates slightly while replying. He knows that this is a tender issue and he just gave Hazel the ability to kill. In this world, when you have the power and intent to kill someone, you also risk in return to be killed. The effect of killing is inversely proportional to that of the one doing the killing. That's how this world works.

"Yes. Are you ok with that." [Clover]

"Of course. I have resolved myself to that fact. I would have to gain power eventually to survive on my own in this world anyway. Better now than ever." [Hazel]

Hazel conveys a wry smile as if she had just walked down a very difficult path. Clover pats her on the back as encouragement.

"Though you do have the power to kill, it is not necessary to do so unless absolutely forced to. So it's up to you, the user to determine the situation. You just need enough power to make the choices you want." [Clover]

Hazel nods towards Clover's advice.

"You know a shadow can also be used to heal. But I don't know how it works, but I've witnessed it happen. I wish you good luck in trying to figure out your own power." [Clover]

"I will train as hard as I can, though I'll have to find free time to do so." [Hazel]

"Don't worry about that. I'll let priestess Alicia and Renner know about you. They are people we can trust after all. Also it seems they are season adventures in their younger years... such monstrous spanking strength..." [Clover]

Clover reminisces about his younger years of getting in trouble.

"I think I'm going to allow myself a week to prep for my leaving of this city. During this week I will oversee your training." [Clover]

Hazel shoots him a curious look. Though she wanted to train her hardest, she didn't know how to do so. So, in turn, it was a slight blessing that someone on Clover's caliber would be overseeing her training procedure. She wonders if he is hardcore or an easygoing person when he trains. She wants to ask but decided to wait until tomorrow to find out.

The conversation continues as small talk continues. Before they knew it, they reached the shop and all the adults still conversing at the lobby table looked ad Clover and Hazel and gave an immature smirk. The duo rushed upstairs and ignored the adults still discussing their best course of action. The night proceeded on and a black sky lit by stars illuminated the streets of Belcroft trade city.

Tomorrow, mid-day, training begins for Hazel to get used to her shadow.

"Clover! This training is way too hard, how can a human do this!" [Hazel]

Hazel was currently trying to channel her mana into her shadow to carry and crumpled up a piece of paper. For Hazel's training, Hazel was told that she had to pick up a piece of paper but without using her hands and only using her shadow. She thought this would be an easy thing to do even though this is her first time using a shadow.

After multiple tries of trying to get her shadow to budge, the shadow started to move away from her own shadow to create its own solid form.

"Woah...." [Hazel]

"Yep." [Clover]

With being able to control mana and the shadow in a short amount of time, Clover knew that Hazel is talented. More talented than the most naturally talented person in this city apart from himself of course.

"Now use that shadow to pick up this crumpled piece of paper." [Clover]

Clover took out a piece of paper from is dimensional storage.
