chapter 1

jax, juice, opie and halfsac pulled up to a bar in Tacoma. theyd been there for a week now and were growing restless at the clubhouse. everyone was ready to get back to charming and their old ladies. well jax wasnt for sure what he and tara were exactly. they has hooked up a few times since shes been back in town, she did help save abel but she also already showed her disdain towards the club. that was alot of the problems between them when they were younger she couldnt, or wouldnt accept the club. he wasnt sure if he wanted to go through all that again.

the bar was pretty packed when they walked in, they went straight to the bar. it didnt take long for the bartender to get to them. jax was scoping the bar and everyone in it when she came over. "what can i get for you guys." he heard her ask then he turned to look at her.

it was like the wind was knocked out of him once he seen her. she was beautiful, the most beautiful woman hes ever seen. she had red hair that was curly and went down her back, almost to her hips. they were tight curls that bounced if she moved. her lips were naturally a dark pink color and all he wanted to do was know what it felt like to kiss them. her eyes were surprisingly dark, almost black, they drew him in. all of her drew him in he couldnt take his eyes off of her.

he watched as she smiled and nodded to whatever juice ordered. jax watched as she walked to other side of the bar to grab a bottle of alcohol, she grabbed four glasses and filled them with ice and jack. after placing the drinks in from of them she had four beers there immediately. he was intrigued with how smooth she moved, with no effort she had their drinks ready quick. she told juice the total and he just had her open a tab.

"sure thing. just let me know and ill keep the refills coming. yall let me know if you need anything different." she told them looking at each one of them. jax was the last and her eyes locked onto his for a few seconds before she went on to the next customer.

it hit his ego a bit that she didnt give him a second look, hell it was barely one look. he wasnt used to that.

"youre gonna go there" he heard opie say

"yeah man. sometimes a chase is worth the fun." he said with a smirk.

opie shook his head "good luck bro."

he seen where his brothers went so he could have their back if needed but he wanted, no needed to stay close to her. the crowd at the bar got their drinks and went back towards the tables or dance floor leaving jax some space to move. he went to the corner of the bar so he could see everything. he was sure he seemed creepy just standing there but he was entranced by her. he didn't even know her name or if she was single.

"yo maddie when are you gonna let me take you out?!" he heard some yuppy looking guy ask her. maddie he liked her name.

she laughed "john how many times are you going to ask? i dont date customers."

"oh come on once we leave i wont be a customer anymore." he winked. jesus this guy was pissing him off

"funny. you need a drink john?" she asked him with a pointed look

"alright ill try again another night. just four beers please." she smiled and grabbed them.

the other bartender walked over "oh maddie just put him out of his misery please. poor thing" she said laughing

"he will survive. hes not my type. i dont think he could handle me anyway." she winked making both women laugh. jax couldnt help but wonder what her type was.

after a while the other bartender said she was taking a break and asked if maddie would be okay, she nodded "yeah me and my friend will be alright take your time." she said reaching to her hip. he had to admit she had her weapon concealed pretty good.
