for basic context, Aswangs are from Philippine mythology and they appear as human during the day but transform into various other forms during the night to sate their hunger for human flesh. They all take a different form during the night, usually an animal, but they have a hellishly long tongue thing they use to suck the blood out of their victims. They prey mostly on pregnant women and very small children, and can eat a fetus.

oh also you can tell if someone is an Aswang during the day when they're disguised as humans because if you look into their eyes your reflection is upside down
