Cries where heard thought the Egyptian palace. the pharaoh walked back and forth in front of the royal chamber. The door opened and one of the pharaoh's healers and bowed. "What happened is something wrong with my wife? Is she alright?!" The healer tried to explain but was interrupted by the pharaoh trying to get in the chamber. "My pharaoh..." "What about my son or daughter what's wrong?!" The pharaoh shook the healer while the healer tried to remain calm and while being shook back and forth. "My pharaoh excuse me for interrupting you sire, your wife is healthy and congratulations my pharaoh you're a father of a young healthy boy." The healer smiled at the pharaoh. "Your wife the queen is very tired from the labor no need to worry my pharaoh." The healer again bowed. "Thank the God's both are alright may I enter my chambers now?" The pharaoh gestured to the room which the healer nod and bowed moving away from the door. The pharaoh's servants pushed the door open of the royal chamber. The pharaoh walked in the chamber towards the bed where the queen laid drench in sweat holding a bundle of blankets. As he approached his wife his breath was taken away for the second time he fell in love. His son was wailing in his wife's arms, the young baby looked exactly like his mother. Tricolor streaked hair 5 black magenta tipped hair with blonde bangs. An unusual kind of hair color in Egypt yet only the great royal wife had it. Big violet eyes with crimson hue a bit of a combination of both parents eyes. Wrapped in the most finest clothes and blankets the prince cried in the queens arms. "He's as gorgeous as you Samira my beloved queen." The queen blushed and gave the baby to the pharaoh to carry. The king gently carried his son afraid to break him. "Of all the names we thought about my queen which one of them you like?" The queen smiled while she stared at pharaoh sweetly. "Atem my pharaoh it somehow seems that name belonged to him ever since he was in my womb when I used to say that name he kicked my stomach I think he likes it." The queen smiled while caressing the baby's hair. "Then it shall be prince Atem the next pharaoh of Egypt. Priest Shimon walked in and bowed in front the queen and the pharaoh. "Yes Shimon excuse me my beloved." The queen just nodded and closed her eyes for a moment to rest. The pharaoh walked to the balcony and stopped before the railing. "What are you doing?" He saw his son playing with the millennium puzzle that hang from kings neck. "Soon or later my beloved son you will posses this item and of course the right to protect and see over this land Egypt where you'll call home." He took another step towards the railing and held and held his son for the people of Egypt to see. "It's a boy my people of Egypt the crown prince of this land please Shimon have candy, money, food for all the people to celebrate this day!" The crowd cheered and danced with joy. "His name is Atem..." The pharaoh nuzzled the baby's face and the people awwed at the action. Days passed and the queen started to feel sicker after giving birth to the prince. Aknamkanon felt restless trying to find what was wrong with his queen and taking care of the prince and the whole kingdom itself. The more time he spent trying to keep his family together corruption started to settle in between the imperial council. The council became more selfish towards the people and started mistreating them. Aknadin jealous of the prince even when he was born Aknadin always wanted his son Seto to be pharaoh instead of the crowned prince. He kept the secret that Seto was his son and even left him and his mother once he went to make the millennium items. He then found out that his son Seto was near in the palace studying for being a priest and he did all in his power to make him a priest and specially his brothers right hand. Atem was raised as any prince would be raised studies in literature, trading routes, currency, magic and etc. Meanwhile in his few times he had free time he would play with his friend Mana and Mahad who was also his protector. Priest Seto being a few summers older than Atem would also play with him and dueled him to keep Atem at his best. One day Atem was walking towards the imperial council where his father was with his council receiving envoys from far lands. He saw that his father was friendlier with these envoys that he was really curious about it that he hid behind the throne. "Welcome king and queen of Valindria my friends what's brings you both here to our humble home." Aknamkanon said with respect to the people who bowed I front of him. "My dear friend the great pharaoh of Egypt we came here in order to discuss some important business we are here to offer you." The king of Valindria said while still bowing along with his wife in front of the pharaoh. "Alright then follow me king and queen of Valindria." Aknamkanon gestured them to follow him towards the private room in the council. They both followed the pharaoh into the room holding a papyrus. "Aknamkanon my friend as you know I was blessed with twins one girl and one boy my daughter being the eldest can not reign in Valindria since she's a young woman though prepared to rule you know other lands here would refuse to trade with us if it happens." The king of Valindria Halit expressed his concerns to the pharaoh. "Me and my husband have a proposal to make to you My pharaoh for the peace of both kingdoms. Queen Amunet put the papyrus on the desk and showed it to the pharaoh. "An arrange marriage contract? Friends I'm too old for your daughter." Aknamkanon said confused on why his friends pulled out this crazy request. "No my friend read the contract as our last wish in this world we would like to make a peace with you guys by offering our daughter to marry your son the crowned prince of Egypt Atem in order terms to make peace between our kingdoms." Halit explained as he pointed at the contract. "Oh I must have read it wrong it's says the next pharaoh in line which means the crowned prince... Well since your daughter has been blessed with the powers of Sekhmet inside her and your guys main wish is to find a way to keep her from unleashing hell in both our lands you also wish for her to marry my son not only for her to be able to keep her status but because we have the necessary knowledge to keep her in check?" Aknamkanon questioned as he looked at both queen and king of Valindria. "Yes my friend indeed we know that your place has the most skilled magicians and healers that your people might find the right resources in order to keep my daughter in check." The king kneeled bowing his head in front of the desk where the pharaoh was sitting. "Rise my friend I know it's not easy to separate from your daughter and not be able to find the resource in your land to keep her alive and well I promise you here she will be alright and taken care of." The pharaoh gestured for the Valindrian king to rise and then he signed the contract. "So shall it be written, so shall it be done." Amunet said as she signed the contract along with her husband. "My pharaoh we wish we could stay but we have to leave immediately to our lands our people need us and we will prepare the princess to be ready for the marriage to be done." Amunet bowed and left the room first while both kings walked together. "I know my daughter won't receive the news of getting married off kindly but how about your son my friend will he take it lightly?" Halit asked Aknamkanon which made the pharaoh pause his steps and think about the situation. "I'm not sure my friend but I will try talking to him about it." Both kings said their goodbyes to each other and the Valindrian Queen and King left towards their land while the pharaoh sat on his throne. "Bring the crown prince here Seto." Atem paced back and forth in his room in front of his friend mana who was trying to calm him down. "How could my dad just arrange a marriage with someone I don't know?!" "Um Atem look at it this way your father wouldn't marry you to someone's daughter he wouldn't know you did heard them that they were friends right?" Mana tried comforting Atem. "I'm not ready to get married..." Atem whispered as he went out to the balcony of his room and looked out the sky. "Well nobody is prepared but you know that your parents married at that age and they don't regret it." Mana said as she leaned on the railing. "It's been years that my mother has died and my father has changed." Atem gripped on the railing trying to hold the tears forming on his eyes. "We all know that the great royal wife's death hurt you both even whole Thebes was hurt she was the kindest queen ever." Mana said as she side hugged Atem then got on the railing. "Mana What the hell get off from there you're going to fall!" Atem yelled trying to get Mana off the railing but he kept failing because Mana kept jumping in the railing away from his reach. "Mana get off from there monkey girl Atem the pharaoh wants to see you." Seto said as he bowed when Atem turned around and looked at Seto. "Ugh let's see what he wants to ground me for." Atem sighed and walked behind Seto as he lead Atem back to the council room. Mana walked behind them but as soon they reach the door Mahad was there and stopped them. "Mana go study let Atem talk to his father alone." "B...but I want to be with my friend." Mana pulled the puppy eyes out to Mahad. "Go now you'll only get him in trouble with that big mouth of yours." Seto shooed Mana who stuck her tongue at Seto then left. Seto and Mahad lead the prince towards were the pharaoh was seated. "Atem my son there's a task I want you to do." Atem looked at his father questioningly. "There's going to be a harem formed for you son I want you to pick some of the beautiful girls to serve you." The pharaoh gesture towards the girls who were bowing on the side of the room. "I don't want to have a harem." "Son when you become a pharaoh you will need to have one." "Aren't I already marrying some princess from a far away land?" Atem asked while glaring at his father. "How many times I've told you not to sneak into the imperial council room!" Aknamkanon yelled at Atem. "I will marry that princess under one condition." The pharaoh sighed in his throne and gesture his son to speak. "I won't have that silly harem you want me to have she will only be the one I have to marry. I want to have a marriage just like you and mother had." Atem explained being serious. "You know you have to have a harem regardless of marrying the princess." The pharaoh pinched the bridge of his nose trying to contain his anger. "I won't marry anyone or have a harem them." Atem crossed his arms. "Atem you need a harem for the sake..." Atem glared at his father. "The sake of the kingdom? Father please accept my request can't you see I agreed to that silly request on marrying the princess which I don't know of." The pharaoh sighed and order the woman to leave and make them go to be prepared as maids or taken to the local towns harem. "You agree then on marrying the princess?" The pharaoh looked at his son. "Yes I don't have a choice do I?" Atem said while crossing his arms. "Very well then she will come here in two years please be nice to her also study I've heard you been slacking around Atem please study or I'll prohibit you from playing with your friend Mana." The pharaoh looked at Atem sternly while Atem sighed. "Anything else father?" "Please go study Shimon is waiting for you in the study room." Atem sighed and bowed to his father before leaving frustrated. "You did well Atem at least you had your way." Mana smiled as she patted Atem's back. "How is it my way if I'm marrying someone I don't know and don't love?" "Well your decision was biased on the peace of your people wasn't it?" Mana asked while they stood in front of the study room. Atem sighed while he gripped on the handles of the door then looked at mana. "I guess you're right but still I feel like I made a wrong decision I could've asked to be married to someone else?" Mana moved her said to the side. "Well That's were you screwed up in." Mana said as she smiled at him. "You're annoying." Atem said as he pushed the door of the study area open. "Anything for my friend to be happy now have fun studying Atem!" Mana waved off as she ran away from the study area before Mahad saw her. Atem just shook his head and entered to see both Mahad and Shimon waiting for him. "Where's Mana?" Mahad interrogated. "She ran off." Atem said as he pointed out the room. "Ugh this girl." Mahad said while leaving both Shimon and Atem alone. "Sit down young prince we will go over the trading routes we learned a few hours earlier." Atem sighed and opened his book while looking at Shimon bored out of his mind. "I wonder how she looks like?" Atem said out loud interrupting Shimon on the middle of the math section. Shimon smacked his stick the desk making Atem jump in surprise. "No daydreaming about your future wife prince! Now what's the area of a pyramid?" Atem groaned as he thunked his head against the desk. "This is torture." Atem thought in his mind while hearing Shimon explain his lecture.
