*Katniss POV*

Since the engagement life went fast for us all. Gale has moved back to District 12 to be with me and the family. We have been planning for a wedding with the help from Effie of course. I would never take her dream away for planning my wedding. Everything was falling into place. Even Peeta found someone and I think it is serious. She just moved her from District 9. It was practically love at first sight. I was happy for him. Peeta needed someone to be there as his right hand like I have Gale.

Today was the day! Today I would be taking a huge jump and saying I do. Being with my best friend and lover forever. I could not have asked for a better partner in my life. As the days came up to this I was thinking about my past and how my life came to this moment. You know what I would have never changed a thing about it. Everything that has happened to me made me who I am today. I could not have asked for a better way to end a chapter of my life to begin a new one.

"Katniss, it is about time!" Effie said coming into my room. She paused at the door and looked at me. I could tell she was about to tear up.

"Oh Effie, please don't cry." I said sweetly.

"I can't help it. I have been imagining this for you for a long time. I am just so happy that is finally coming together for you. Gale and you deserve so much happiness and more with everything you have gone through." Effie said wiping the tears that escaped.

"Now if you cry, I am going to cry Effie. I don't want this hard work go to waste." Cinna said smiling and wiping tears away from his face.

I looked at both I was so lucky to have Cinna and Effie as part of my family. They were so important and my supporters through everything that has happened in the past.

"Oh Cinna, you look as amazing as always." I said smiling.

"Oh, honey I know I look amazing. I am talking about you. I don't want my masterpiece to be ruined by one tear right now. You are stunning. My best work yet." Cinna said spinning me around.

I gave her a hug and I knew I loved this woman with all my heart. She is a light in my darkness that I would miss if she never came to District 12 at the reaping all those years ago. Haymitch and Prim came in next. Prim looked amazing in her dress. I turned to Haymitch and smiled.

He cleaned up pretty well for someone that hates dressing up. He walked over to me and gave me a hug. I didn't know what to say to him. I wanted to ask him a question, but I did not know how to say it.

"Katniss, just spit out the question you want to ask me." Haymitch stated with a smile.

I could never hide anything from him. He has gotten to know me too well through out the years. I sighed and then said,

"Would you give me away today?"

He looked surprised and you could hear Effie in the background squealing in delight. I gave Haymitch a looked and then said,

"There is no one else I would want to do this but you. You are like a second father to me. We have been through so much in the past."

"Katniss, I take this as the highest honor. I would love to give you away on your big day. You are like the daughter I never had and secretly never wanted." Haymitch said jokingly.

I couldn't help but laugh at this. I loved that everyday he still found a way to make a joke someway. I gave him a hug and Prim spoke up,

"It's time."

*Gale's POV*

I waited at the alter with Peeta by my side. I heard the music start and felt the butterflies do summersaults in my stomach. This was the beginning of a new chapter for Katniss and me. Peeta patted me should in a loving brother way to let me know it is alright. I smiled at him and nodded.

Right then I saw Prim walking down the aisle. I just thinking about this little girl that is so grown up now. She is beautiful and strong. I then looked behind her to see the one person I was waiting for. There stood Katniss with Haymitch. She looked breath taking. I was speechless. She was stunning. The music started and I knew this was the moment I was waiting for.

*Katniss POV*

I saw Gale and I could feel my breath hitch and my heart skip a beat. I grabbed onto Haymitch's arm tightly. He gave me a looked and whispered,

"It is not too late to back out now. I can get you out of here within a second."

I swatted him in the arm and started to laugh. I would never run away from Gale. He was my everything and my future. This was the moment I was waiting for. As the music started, I slowly walked down the aisle. Every step was bringing me closer to my Gale.

We finally reached Gale and it felt like forever since I was in his embrace. Haymitch looked at Gale and said,

"You hurt her you don't have to worry about me coming after you because she will do all the dirty work and then the city will just cover up your death like nothing happened."

I knew everyone in the room heard him and started to laugh. But Haymitch was not wrong. Gale just smiled and said,

"I know that is the truth and I would never hurt her."

I looked at Gale as the ceremony began. I wasn't really listening to the man and was just looking at Gale. He was so handsome, and you could see the excitement in his eyes. We both have been waiting for this day for a very long time. The priest looked at me and said,

"Your vows?"

I nodded and then said,

"Gale, you have been my best friend and my right-hand man since day one in the woods. I don't think either of us would have survived if we did not run into each other that day. It was fate that brought us together. They knew that we were meant to be together in the long run. Through all the jumps and juggles of life you never left my side no matter how hard or stubborn I was. I can not ask for a better partner and best friend then you. I get to spend the rest of my life with not only my best friend but the love of my life."

The priest looked at Gale and he cleared his throat to begin.

"Katnip, the day I gave you that nickname was the day I knew we would never be separated from each other's lives. You were my main girl and I was your number one guy. We didn't trust anyone else but each other. When you volunteered for the reaping for Prim my heart sank but I held strong because I knew you would get through it all and return to me. Who knew our lives would be this crazy hell of a mess, but I would not change it for the world because in the end it brought you and me together forever? You are my best friend, my right-hand person, someone I can always turn to and share my darkest fears and worries to. I never want that to change and I can't ask for a better way to complete a chapter of our lives together then beginning a new one with you as my wife."

"Now do you Gale Hawthorne take Katniss Everdeen to be your wife."

"I MOST DEFINATLY DO!" Gale said excitedly.

You could hear the crowd snicker a little bit and I couldn't help but snicker to. This is one of the happiest times for Gale and me.

"Katniss Everdeen do you...." He was about to say but I interrupted him.

"I ABSALUTLY DO. ONE HUNDERD PRECENT I DO!" I said smiling huge.

"Well then I can pronounce you husband and wife. I am sure you have been waiting for this moment Gale. You may now kiss your bride." He said smiling over to Gale then me.

Gale grabbed me and planted his lips right onto mine. This kiss was more then just passionate. It was surreal. All our excitement, happiness, and emotions was in just one kiss. Everyone stood up and started to cheer for us. I looked out at everyone once Gale let me go and I saw our families so happy and proud of us. This was a beginning to an end.
