Hi I am actually updating four times today! I will post the fourth in a few minutes. If you want to read more after my updates, check out my sister's story. Her Wattpad name is KeefeFoster5.
Anyways, on with the story.

As Sophie and Keefe walked in, they took two seats near the back.

"Ah! Welcome to detention! Today we will be reviewing the school rules, so you will all now know how to behave!" An old man announced.

Everyone groaned.

As the old man started going through the boring rules, Sophie felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see Keefe with a mischievous look in his eyes.

"Yo Foster! I think it's time we start having some fun!" Keefe said loudly, nudging her.

Then the teacher saw them and yelled, "Mr. Sencen and Miss Foster! How dare you interrupt while I'm speaking. Rule #37 in the handbook says—"

"And Mr. Know-It-All, how dare you interrupt while I was speaking to Foster!" Keefe snapped back. Everyone in the classroom bursted into giggles.

"That's it! Detention for the rest of the week for you and Miss Foster. Now I suggest you shut it before I send you to the office," the old man said angrily.

"Yes sir!" Keefe said with a cheesy salute.

"Ugh, really Keefe?" Sophie hissed.

"Eh, it's fine. That just means that we will be spending more time together!" Keefe said, wiggling his eye brows.

Sophie rolled her eyes. He really was impossible.

Detention passed by in a blur with mostly Keefe mocking the teacher the whole time. When detention finally ended, Sophie and Keefe got up to leave.

"That was fun!"

"Sure Keefe," Sophie grumbled.

"Aww don't be too disappointed yet! I have greater things planned for the two of us!" Keefe announced.

"Can't wait!" Sophie said, sarcastically.
Keefe just smirked as they walked outside.

"Okay so are you going to Biana and Fitz's house now?" Sophie asked Keefe.

"Um yeah, you?"

"First I have to stop by at home to tell my parents. Ugh, they're so annoying! They want me to tell them everything ALL the time," Sophie complained.

"Oh yeah, parents! How they care so much! Oh wait. Mine don't! Ha!"

Sophie stopped walking and turned to face him. "What?"

"It's nothing really. My parents don't care about anything I do and they don't care about me, but you know! It's all good!" He tried to flash his famous smirk but it looked forced.

Sophie suddenly felt ashamed for complaining about her overprotective parents. At least they cared while Keefe's didn't.

"Keefe, I'm so sorry," Sophie whispered.

"I'm fine really," Keefe tried to assure her.

But Sophie could see through the act. She could see the hurt and damage inside him. She knew it well because it's how she felt when her parents died.

"I'm here if you need me. I mean, I know we just met but I understand that similar feeling," Sophie whispered.

"Thanks," Keefe said and this time he gave her a real smile. "We best get going or Biana will be furious! Trust me, you don't want to face the wrath of Biana."

"Okay," Sophie said. "See you there."

"See ya."

And then Sophie and Keefe parted their own ways.
