"Curse this Cheeto!" Keefe yelled as he threw the hot Cheeto away that was stuck in his nose. "If Foster cheats, then I get to also!"

"Ew Keefe! You just threw it! What if someone finds it?" Sophie asked, glancing behind her to check if Tam was close.

"I had to get rid of it somehow! I'll probably be sneezing Cheeto dust for months!"

"Come on, let's just find somewhere to hide," she said, giggling.

"Good thinking!"

Soon, they ended up in a dark corridor that was eerily quiet. Sophie shivered and squeezed tighter on Keefe's hand.

"Foster you good there?" Keefe asked with a smirk. Well, that's what she assumed, since she couldn't see anything.

"It's a bit dark!" Sophie said, defensively.

"Feel free to hug me tight Foster! I'm free for some Foster snuggle time if you're scared!"

Sophie took the invitation and yanked him towards her. She then wrapped her arm around his waist and squeezed him hard as she buried her head in his chest. Keefe seemed to jolt in surprise and then he tensed up.

"What wrong?" Sophie asked.

"I just didn't expect you to hug me," Keefe said.

Sophie blushed when she realized what she did. Sophie nervously giggled. "Well, I guess I needed someone to hold on tight too. I'm...a bit scared of the dark now..." She was now afraid of being captured again and being in the dark was a scary feeling, since anyone could sneak up on you.

"Oh," Keefe said in realization.

Sophie suddenly felt a sick feeling in her stomach. This was the first time she saw Keefe since he had gotten attacked.

Suddenly there was an uncomfortable silence. "How are you?" Sophie asked, pulling away from the hug.

"I'm great! Foster's hugs are just the bestest!" Keefe said in a kiddy voice.

"Keefe, you know what I'm talking about."

"Oh, how I feel about you finally realizing your undeniable love for me? Well, I—"

"Keefe," Sophie pressed, placing a hand on his shoulder. But, when she did that, he winced.

When Sophie started to panic, he said, "I'm fine really! This is just some bruise I got when I fell today." But Sophie could tell that it was a lie.

Sophie sighed. "Let's find somewhere to talk."

"There's nothing to talk abou—"

"Yes, there is Keefe." Sophie then dragged him with her as she placed her hand along the wall and tried to feel for a door.

After walking a bit down the corridor, she felt a knob and turned it to open the door.

When she opened the door, she felt for the light switch and turned it on as she dragged Keefe inside and closed the door behind them. She then motioned for him to sit down with her.

Keefe sighed. "I guess there's no way I'm getting out of this huh?"

"Nope!" Sophie said, popping the 'p'.

"Okay fine, the bruise on my shoulder is just from when they punched it before they kidnapped me."

"I'm sorry Keefe. What else did they do to you?"

Keefe looked away. "They just cut me and all that lovely stuff. They even cut the Hair!" He paused. "They also started to drown me in the woods. They stuck my head in the water of a stream they found and they kept it there for a minute and pulled away. And they kept torturing me like that," he added quietly.

Sophie gasped. "That's terrible! Wait—how do you know that? Weren't you unconscious?"

"Sophie, I went unconscious after they tried to drown me."

"But when I called for you on the walkie talkie they said that you were—"

"I know what they said, Sophie. I was awake then," he then turned into a scared boy that Sophie didn't know. In his eyes, she could see so much fear. "They threatened me to be quiet—otherwise they'd," his voice cracked. "Otherwise, they said that they would go upstairs right then and kill you." His eyes then started to water. "I couldn't let anything happen to you Sophie, but it broke my heart when I heard your scared voice through the walkie talkie," he whispered.

"Keefe I—" Sophie then started to sob. "I shouldn't even be the one crying!"

"Foster it's okay, it's over now," Keefe said. This time, he was the one that pulled her into a hug. He held her tight with so much care as he brushed her hair with his fingers.

"No, it isn't Keefe! As long as they are still out there, they are still a threat. At any moment they could harm us like they did to you!"

"Don't worry, we will figure this out together. Team Foster-Keefe always wins!" Keefe wiped a tear off her face.

Sophie sniffled. "I hope so." Keefe then cupped the side of her face causing her to look into his beautiful ice-blue eyes. It was like a block of ice that could crack at any moment, but they still held so much hope. Her heart fluttered.

"You know—" Keefe started, but he was then interrupted by a click.

Sophie and Keefe turned to see Tam at the door with his phone pulled out.

Did Tam take a picture of them?

"Are you guys like a thing now?" Tam asked with a smirk.

"Ahgwa um no!" Sophie yelped as she scrambled out of Keefe's arms, sure her face was as red as a tomato.

"Well, it looks like it in this picture," Tam said, showing an embarrassing picture of her and Keefe. In the picture, she was looking into his eyes like some love freak as she was on his lap. His hands were cupping her face as he stared back into her eyes. "It would be such a shame if the others saw this," Tam said with an evil grin.

"Tam! You would never do that to us!" Sophie shouted.

"Honestly, I wouldn't mind," Keefe said with a smirk. Sophie groaned.

All her and Keefe were doing was comforting each other during these hard times! That's all!

"Well, last I recall, when I gave you guys those dares to do, you both DID NOT do them!" Tam said crossing his arms. "Don't think I didn't notice that hot Cheeto on the ground in the hall back there!"

"Wait! Please, Tam! Let's talk about this!" Sophie pleaded.

"Please Bangs Boy?" Keefe pleaded, mocking Sophie a bit dramatically. He fell on his knees on the ground, batted his eye lashes, and put on puppy eyes.

"Hmm that would be the kind thing to do, but that's not how I work. If you don't do what I say, then I don't do what you say! Call this revenge!" Tam said as he cackled like a villain.

"I'm going to take your phone and delete that picture!" Sophie threatened.

"MWAHAHAHA! You have to catch me first!" Tam cackled as he ran off into the corridor.

"That little rat!" Sophie yelled as she ran off to stop him.

"Wait for me!" Keefe called after her.
