AAAAAHHHHH!!!! So apparently Wattpad is acting strange where people can't comment on chapters and I think that happened with my most recent chapter so I'm going to repost the chapter and see if it works.

"Nick this is beautiful!" Sophie gushed as her and Nick sat on a bench, overlooking a beautiful lake.

"I'm glad you like it," Nick said, giving his usual warm smile. Sophie smiled as she sipped the hot chocolate Nick had just got her.

So far, Sophie's Valentine's date with Nick was going well. Sophie and Nick had went to a really fancy and expensive restaurant and they enjoyed their time there. Then afterwards, Nick bought hot chocolate for them and now they ended up by a peaceful area with a bench overlooking a pretty lake.

Sophie sighed as she closed her eyes and let the snow flurries fall around her.

"So how's your mom doing?" Nick asked, causing Sophie to open her eyes to look at Nick.

"She's doing better. Though sometimes I catch her crying herself to sleep. And...sometimes I hear her screaming and getting up in the middle of the night from the nightmares," Sophie whispered, feeling sadness for Edaline and hatred for the Neverseen.

Nick blinked hard and looked down. "That's...so terrible. I can't imagine what she's going through."

"Yeah, I have no idea how she's still fighting after going through so much," Sophie said.

Nick looked at her in the eye for one second and then looked away into the distance. "Life isn't fair...and things don't always happen the way we want it to. Sometimes we just have to live with it."

Sophie pressed her lips together. "Yeah, I guess you're right. We'll just have to go through one problem at a time and fight through."

When Nick just stayed silent while looking away, Sophie asked, "how are you?"

"What do you mean?" Nick asked, looking back at her.

Sophie felt her cheeks flush, afraid she might be pushing him too far. "Like—how are you doing with being apart of a new family. Given that you're adopted."

"Oh—right. Well, it's great. I mean—Timkin and Vika are kind to me. And Stina can be very annoying but she still looks out for me. And it's embarrassing since I'm older than her and I'm the one who should be stronger."

Sophie frowned and put a hand on Nick's knee. "Hey, it's fine to feel weak sometimes. It's not about who should be stronger—it's about if we are still fighting or not. You have a family and you have friends to hold you up when it's hard and there's nothing wrong with that. There's a reason that you have people that are apart of your life. They're there to keep you from being alone."

Nick gave her a half smile as he sighed. "I guess you're right." After a moment he asked, "but...what if no one can keep you up? What if they can't save you?"

"Save you from what?" Sophie asked.

"Save you from making the wrong choices," Nick whispered, looking away again.

"Well, everyone makes mistakes. But the mistakes are what help us learn and realize the truth. And people can help you to recover as long as you seek for the help," Sophie explained, feeling a sudden concern for Nick.

"But what if people can't be helped? Like, what if they're bad and it's too late for them to change?"

Sophie furrowed her eyebrows. "I personally believe that not everyone is all that bad. Sometimes people appear to be terrible or evil when they are actually struggling and fighting a war inside of them. They are hurting so much and no one cares to help them. That darkness tears them down and that's why they make terrible choices. But what I think is that the only way to save someone who is wrong, is to understand them. That's the only way you can help."
