Tony POV

"Rogers, can you please tell me why you called for a meeting so god damn early?" I asked him as I walked in only to see that it was only him, Natasha, and I.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked.

"They won't be joining us," Natasha said.

"Uh, okay. Why?" I asked as I sat down.

"Because this is more personal to you," Steve said as he carefully pushed a file over to me.

"I know your relationship with Howard is rocky from what you told me. Howard was a different man when I knew him but I know you loved your mother," Steve said and I looked at him before I grabbed the file and read over its content where I felt sick to my stomach.

"I have the video if you want to save it for another day," Natasha said.

"Give it," I said and she pushed a tablet my way and I watched the video. It took me a few minutes before I calmed down before I had a panic attack.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Well, you deserved to learn the truth. I was going to hide it from you and find Barnes myself but Romanoff gave me a beating of my life," Rogers said and I let out a choked laugh.

"That explains why you were nearly hospitalized in the medbay," I said and Natasha gave me a wink.

"Tell me, Nat. Why did you want him to tell me?"

"Well, you needed to know the truth. Sure you have every right to be pissed but I know once you read this, you'll be willing to help," she said as she pushed another file my way. I flipped through a few pages before I have to stop as I felt the urge to puke.

"That's what he went through before he broke and turned into that?" I asked as I pointed to the tablet and Natasha nodded.

"That's the mild down file. I went through. Similar training," She said and I let out a slow breath.

"He's going to need some serious therapy," I said and Natasha cracked a smile at that. 

"Give me a few days to be emotional about this but I'll help you find him, Rogers,"

"Thank you, Tony,"

"Before you go and lock yourself in your lab. There's something you both should know," Natasha said.

"What is it?" Rogers asked.

"Actually it's better if I show you. Come with me to my apartment," She said and she nodded before we left the tower.
