The first thing that Rose noticed when she woke up was the pain in the back of her head. She had so much adrenaline the night before that she hadn't noticed any pain, but she was all out of adrenaline when she woke up.
The next thing she noticed was all of the voices around her. She couldn't get her eyes to open yet, but she could make out the voices of Harry, Mr. Weasley, Cedric, Moony and a woman that she assumed was her mother. The voices were just low murmurs of sentences that Rose couldn't make out for a good few minutes. The voice of Harry was the first thing she could comprehend.
"I'm not leaving until she wakes up and I can make sure she's ok!"
"Well, I'm really not going to be ok if you keep shouting," Rose groaned, finally opening her eyes but slamming them shut again when the bright lights hit her eyes. She let out another groan when two bodies fell into hers in a hug.
"You were supposed to be careful!" Moony shouted.
"I just got back, you're not leaving me now!" The female voice shouted.
The two bodies finally let go and Rose was able to open her eyes. The lights had been dimmed so she was able to actually look at those around her. Moony and her mum were standing there, both with obvious tears running down their faces. Mr. Weasley was pale faced and standing with his hand on Harry's shoulder. Harry was smiling at Rose, but she could see his obvious black circles under his eyes. He, luckily, had been brought a change of clothes so he wasn't covered in her blood anymore. Cedric was the farthest away and he looked the best out of everyone.
"Hi. Next time I won't accidentally get stupefied because death eaters raid the quidditch world cup and someone sends out the dark mark," Rose said. Moony rolled his eyes but reached out and grabbed her hand.
"How are you?" Rose's mum asked, moving to sit on her other side and grabbing the hand that wasn't being held already. Her eyes were misty but she gave her daughter a small smile anyways. Rose stared at her for a few seconds, not yet used to having a mum. She was surprised at how much her mum seemed to care as they had only met once, other than when Rose was a baby, and that was for not even two minutes. She noted that her mum's hair was now shoulder length, not long as it had been at the hospital.
"My head hurts and I'm tired but other than that I'm good," Rose said truthfully. Moony and Marlene shared a look.
"Arthur, would you mind taking the boys and getting us some tea?" Remus asked the man. Arthur nodded his head and ushered the two boys out of the room.
"Rose, Sirius and I were worried about Harry and now we have to worry about Cedric too!" Moony fake teased, trying to lighten the mood. Marlene hit his arm with a smile on her face.
"Look at her parents, do you blame the boys? And either way, she's a strong independent female and can date who ever she wants to!"
"I'm not dating anyone," Rose pointed out.
"Yet!" Moony and Marlene replied at the same time, but with very different tones. Moony sounded upset and Marlene sounded happy. Rose rolled her eyes but stopped when her head started to hurt.
"How long was I asleep?"
"Not long...well, kinda long. You got here around midnight and it's 9 am," Moony explained.
"Why didn't I heal myself?" Rose said quietly.
"We already talked to Dumbledore and we believe it's because you just saved your mum not long before. You haven't really used your...powers before so you just got overwhelmed. You didn't have the energy to heal yourself. But now that you're away you'll probably start healing faster," Moony explained.
