Rose woke up early the next morning. Both of her parents were still asleep so she started to step over her dad. Rose let out a small shriek when her foot slipped and she almost fell on the floor. Her dad's hand reached out at lightning speed and caught her arm, pulling her up so she didn't fall. She sat down on the bed by his feet, giggling slightly. He sleepily sat up and pushed his curly hair away from his face.

"Sorry...I didn't mean to wake you up," Rose apologized as her dad yawned.

"It's fine. I was basically awake anyways," Sirius said. "Let's go before we wake your mum up though."

"Ok. She is cranky in the morning," Rose said. Sirius smirked at her and nodded as he stood up. He ushered Rose to the door and waited until the door was closed before talking.

"Once your mum punched me in the throat because I tried to wake her up before 10 am," Sirius said, a fond smile on his face. Rose giggled at the thought. Rose and Sirius found their way to the kitchen and Rose saw that it was only 5:30.

"Pancakes or muffins?" Sirius asked as he started pulling ingredients out of the cabinet.

"Umm...both," Rose decided.

"I like the way you think," Sirius grinned. "You make the pancakes and I'll make the muffins."

Rose nodded and put her hair behind her ears. Sirius did the same but his hair kept falling into his face, causing him to huff.

"Do you want me to tie your hair up?" Rose giggled as she watched her dad tuck his hair behind his ears for the fifth time.

"Ok...but no pictures," Sirius said. Rose nodded, but she knew that she would get a picture. Her sad sat down and Rose gathered all his hair into her hand and put a ponytail holder on it, folding his hair to form a messy bun.

"Wow...you look great," Rose teased. Sirius grinned at her.

"Go make your pancakes," Sirius fake ordered. Rose rolled her eyes but stood next to him as she mixed the ingredients together. She had to use a stool, causing many short jokes from her father. The pair talked about anything and everything except what they really wanted to until the muffins were in the oven and the pancakes were baking on the stove.

"So...wanna talk about yesturday?" Sirius asked, looking at the pancake he was flipping instead of his daughter. He put the last pancake on a plate and sat down at the table, Rose sitting across from him.

"I-I think so," Rose mumbled.

"Ok, well...tell me about the man," Sirius said. Rose took a shuddering breath before talking.

"L-Lucius woke me up really early and he took me to his study. He brought in the man and used some sort of spell. The man had cuts everywhere. Lucius told me to heal him and I tried but...nothing worked. There was blood...all over me. I healed the man for a little bit but Lucius hit me with his cane. That's how I got the cut on my forehead. When he hit me, I stopped the little bit of healing I could do. Lucius gave me my wand and told me...he told me to take the man out of his misery. I wouldn't kill him...so he...he tortured me and then left me," Rose told her father.

"Did...did he torture you other times?" Sirius asked, his voice tight.

"He...he did. He didn't like that I don't like onions...so I got tortured. He heard us talking on the mirror but he didn't know it was you, but he knew I was talking to someone so he tortured me. There were other times too...but those two were the worst," Rose admitted.

"I'm gonna kill him," Sirius muttered angrily, standing up and grabbing his wand. He started striding towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Rose asked, standing up and following him.
