A new visitor. After a week of nonstop raining of heavy snow, a new visitor came knocking on our door.

"Good day, princess," Lucas greeted at the entrance with his usual cheerful self. "I brought something special today."

"I give you my greetings, Princess Elaine. I am Mykel Cree, his majesty's royal adviser."

His long beautiful black hair was tied in a pony and blue vivid eyes. Standing next to Lucas, this new visitor looked rather weak with his smaller figure under his winter garb.

His expression was serious but not unkind.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir Cree. Good day to you too, Sir Lucas," I said curtsying. "Shall we go somewhere warmer?"

Why is a royal adviser went all the way here? I couldn't help but be wary. That person was from back then, the man who stood behind the king at the library.

We proceed to the parlour room and order Haisley to prepare some snacks.

"Aren't you quite stiff today princess? Is it because Mykel brings you discomfort?" Lucas said while laughing. He really loves to state the obvious and make everything more awkward. "You don't have to worry, he won't harm you. He's soft as a rabbit."

"What nonsense are you spouting, Lucas? I apologize for the sudden visit, princess."

"It–It's fine. The Silver Palace seldom have visitors and Sir Lucas usually visits unannounced," I said as I make myself ease on the chair.

"And Prince Aiden," Lucas added as he smiles at me. "You didn't tell me that you two are close, princess." Now he was looking disheartened as if I hurt him.

"I don't think we're that close though," I said. I didn't know Aiden that much and he was to me.

"The crown prince also didn't speak of the princess," Mykel said giving me an intrigued look. "Nonetheless, I was surprised when the news came to me that the prince after arriving was looking for his sister in the Emerald Palace and went to the Silver Palace in fury."

So that's why he burst into my room like that. He must be angry when he found out that I haven't moved to the Emerald Palace. But. . .why didn't he made a fit when he saw me?

"The Emerald Palace was in an uproar." Lucas laughed finding it funny. "Even the king himself was confused why his only son was looking for the princess first rather than greeting his father."

I went pallid from Lucas's joyful words. Aiden disregarded the king because of me.

I'm going to die.

Edmund will punish me and die. That's why his royal adviser is here, to announce my punishment.
