I've been staring at the ring on my finger with a bothered feeling. The holy item wasn't working after I activated it through blood.

Was it because I have mortal blood that it doesn't work?

A frustrated groan escaped from my mouth.

Today's a weekend and I planned on practicing my magic but it seems that it will never happen.

Across from me, Bwi tapped the table taking my attention.

"Is everything alright, princess?" He said through sign language. His large bluish-gray eyes stared at me in concern.

"Sorry about that. Go back to your reading," I spoke while doing sign language. Even though Bwi could hear me I believe that familiarizing myself with the gesture will help me in the future.

Two years ago, I was surprised and at the same time glad that Bwi wanted to serve by my side as my attendant in exchange for helping at the drug organization case. Clearly, Bwi wasn't fit to be one. Till now he's still wasn't qualified. So he continues to train and learn under Aiden's attendant, Mykel and Haisley. I understand why Haisley became his teacher since she knew me very well.

But why Mykel? The king's adviser.

I once asked Bwi about what Mykel teaches him but he just smiled and said 'this and that'. I immediately gave up in my first attempt and let it be 'this and that'. He'll eventually tell me or perhaps I'll find it out someday.

Weekends were our free days from our lectures. And as a practice and implying all the knowledge he learned he would act as my attendant sometimes.

We left the library at the Emerald Palace before the clock strike to twelve, I decided to stop by my room before getting lunch.

"Huh, that's weird," I spoke as we enter the Moon Palace. Bwi gave a questioning look. "I haven't seen Aiden."

The three of us usually visit the library and do our assignments there.

My intuition says that he probably was up to something. An unsettling feeling stirred inside me. After the visit at the cliff, it became a must that we eat together, the three of us.

I gave Bwi a pleasant smile when I remembered something. "By the way, your other uniform just arrived. I can't wait for you to use it after you become my official attendant."

". . ." He stared at me in disapproval but couldn't do anything because I'm the master.

He'll definitely look good on that!

I entered my room in delight after Bwi opened the door for me. The satisfying smile that was plastered on my face froze when my eyes landed on Aiden.

"Si–sister?!" He was surprised to see me in my very own room.

He stood in front of my opened closet wearing my periwinkle dress. Tha–. . . That was my favorite dress, the dress I bought with my own money—the money I collected two years ago.

The dress was too tight for him but he didn't look uncomfortable with it. He even twirled in front of us with a happy smile. My brother was enjoying it. .

I then heard I ripping sound that made my heart cry for the dress.

Aiden was now looking at me as if he wants to be praised while in return I stared at him with dead eyes.

I couldn't handle seeing Aiden and my poor state dress that I looked on my lower left.

"I didn't know you're into this, bro-brother," I stated dryly.
