Hello readers ♥️
It had been a while since the last update. . . Well, I'm actually having a hard time looking for the right motivation in writing this story, I've been rewriting this for a couple of times and it just won't satisfy me.
All I could think of was TodoBaku scenes.
I'm very sorry _:( ' ཀ ' 」 ∠):
But if you're interested please do check it out. It's called when flowers bloom in winter.
Going back to this story, I might not update every day after this chapter but I already know what will happen to the next chapters. I hope you'll understand.

Suspicious, the excuse I made was suspicious but I could care less of such a thing, with my body being dead tired laying on the soft bed was the only thing on my mind. Carsien's mother gave that look after seeing the princess with some random man in a white coat at the front of the Bismarck's door drenched from the rain.

The coldness still lingers to my skin and through my bones that it took time to pulled off the clothes which clung to my body as I shiver head to toe. The sound of the cloths hitting against the floor was drowned from the pouring rain outside the windows, heavy and aggressive, as if the heaven was mourning.

Eyes of jealousy and anger continued to bore through the back of my head. If a glare could kill I'd be dead already. I never expect any help especially from the girl I showed my teeth this morning.

It was almost time for the adult to enjoy the party without the presence of the children. The light outside slowly dimmed further than it already had, with the dark clouds blocking the sun. While the servants were all tied up from the next party, I was stuck with a maid's daughter to help me in my bath.

"If you're going to stand there waiting for me to drop dead better get out of the room and give me some privacy," I stated glancing over the girl before slipping inside the bathtub.

I was not in the mood of playing nice and staying quiet. Today was an eventful and troublesome day. Dying and resurrecting to Azalea's bold confession towards the king in public.

The muscle of my cold body relaxed under the hot water embracing me with warmth.

The mix of chamomile and sandalwood eased my mind. It was very intoxicating that it started to improve my mood. I couldn't help but released an exhausted yet blissed sigh.

This is the life. This is what a villainess is meant to be. Relaxing and enjoying every single second of the time while the heroine faces problems and challenges that life threw to her somewhere out of the villainess sight—out of my sight.

Sometimes, being a villainess has its own advantage. Comfortable shelter, delicious food, free education, and such, that I have forgotten my future which that I haven't work on the plan of escaping and living outside the palace walls.

I looked over at my ring. I could now use one-third of my other magic with the use of the Soul Staff. Becoming a priestess will be the first in my list since I was not still sure what do I really want to be when I grow up. I don't really have the drive to become a part of something in the society.

Sometimes you'll have to pause and ask yourself why am I living?

"I couldn't do that, princess. I was ordered to help you." Every word was a force that it sounded like hissing. Her voice pulled me out of my own thoughts.

"Then you better do your job properly," I spoke almost sounding like grumble.

I let my body submerged on the tub as water going up to my mouth, nose, ears, and to my closed eyes.

Staying underneath the water for a second or two when the door suddenly opened hitting the wall.

"Sister!"

"Prince Aiden you're back!" The girl exclaimed in joy and relief.

Their voices were muffled but still audible.

I too was relieved to know that Aiden was alright but I was not happy about this. Him barging into my room. Why didn't the useless girl lock the door?

"You, where is my sister?" Aiden demanded as if he didn't hear the greeting of the girl.

"Aiden, you shouldn't enter the room like that, and I'm not sure if it was really Princess Elaine," Carsien said.

So he did notice but wasn't sure if it was really me.

With a frown from being stressed again, I emerged from the water. My head peaking from the tub.

"He's right Aiden, you must have a good excuse after barging in while I'm taking a bath," I said deadpan, the irritation on my voice can be heard.

Three pairs of eyes widen at the sight of me. Faces turning red, frantic eyes looking around as long as not towards the tub. Aiden, Bwi, and Carsien were covered in blood and dirt.

"I–I–I thought," Aiden began stuttering, trying to find the right word while being flustered. He then looked down in embarrassment and shame. "I'm sorry. I thought you followed us and I got worried and scared. I di–din't mean to. . . Sorry."

I soften a bit after seeing him being regretful.

Another apology followed from the two.

Sighing I moved my hand waving them off even though they couldn't see. "You three should go while no one has seen us."

Aiden was dragged by the two giving me a sad dreaded look when the word forgive or related to that didn't come out to my mouth.

The door clicked close. Why do I feel the night will be longer?

I massaged my temple as I am aware of the subtle smile on the girl's lips while cleaning the same spot on the table for a while now.

Come to think of it, if Aiden was already here then that means—

The door opened. Edmund is next.

"Elaine, I heard that you brought a man! Is that tru—. . ?"

I was still in the same position where only my head was peaking out of the tub.

Seems about right. This will be a long night.

"Oh my, are you perhaps seducing me, princess? I'm not into children but I can help you wash," Lucas offered with a smile while his eyes were closed.

"Lucas."

"My eyes are already closed, your majesty."

"Good. Leave and ask why is the princess alone without any maids." Edmund failed to notice the other person in the room. She must be too irrelevant to gain his attention.

I turned my head to the girl that was white as a ghost. Eyes looking at me with now in plead, I smiled in return. Should have left when I told her to leave.

Edmund looked very pissed that I couldn't even look at him. But it brought me to notice a red stain on his neck. Lucas surely saw that and decided to not notify him about that one.

"Father," I began forcing myself to even my voice. "I see you had fun outside."

He frowned at me in confusion.

"You've got a kiss mark on your neck. Who's the lucky lady?" I queried eye gleaming for his answer.
