Another wave of pain when the owner came to my side. Another set of gold eyes were in my field of vision.

"Sister! Please don't die."

It was Aiden. My two years older brother but acts like a younger brother. A child with mood swings.

"I. . I'm going to die," I weakly said. I would love to tell him that I won't die but what's the point of lying.

I was dying. My body was getting colder and colder.

"What do we have here?" The evil spirit's voice was very weird. It was as if he has a high pitch voice but got a cold. It doesn't match his bulky body at all. "If you want to be with that girl why don't you go with her and die! Attack my little ones!"

"M-mommy? Are you my mommy?"

"Hey, I'm scared. Can you hold my hand? Forever?"

"Let's sleep together for now on."

The eerie voices of the used to be dead children can be heard at the end of the aisle.

With his sword on his hand, Edmund stood up and told Aiden to stay by my side before disappearing from my line of sight. Lucas was probably fighting also.

Everything was getting blurry, no, it wasn't blurry but it was turning white.

I could even see a face surrounding with glowing light.

"Cianna?" I gasped.

So this is my end. Rather being killed by the father I got caught up in a sacrificial act and died.

The Goddess of Light was smiling.

'I didn't expect that you'll die this quickly,' Cianna said shaking her head like she couldn't believe it but her smile was still on her godly face. 'Why don't you use your magic, Elaine?'

'What do you mean? There's no ounce of magic in this body! If there was then I won't be laying half-dead in the first place.' I said through my mind.

Cianna stared at me checking my body head to toe.

'There is. You haven't awakened it yet. You already claimed that you don't have magic that it was forced not to awaken. You're pretty much useless when you're not with me huh.' The goddess chuckled.

. . . What?! How would I know about that?

Cianna then placed her hand on my head. Her hand was warm and kind just like what I remember.

'Why did you brought me here?' I asked while feeling light-headed, the pain slowly disappearing and warmth covered my entire body.

'Didn't I already told you. It's your destiny.' Before I could speak with furrowed brows she continued, 'Now, after I awaken your magic I found out that you only have little magic. It only serves as first aid. Your body will heal itself against small wounds. It will take a lot longer with the larger wound or not heal you at all leading to death.'

'Pretty useless to me.'

'That is why I blessed you once again. You'll be as powerful as you were before. Aren't you happy I gave you a cheat? You'll be an OP character like the isekai mangas I've read!'

I disregard the last part since she's talking Earth language again. 'So I'll have to finish the damn story before I could go back to you?'

Her smile turned somewhat sad. 'We will see. . . By the way! Your magic won't fully come back. You have to grind until you drop dead! Ah–. . .It seems my time is up, I'll see you soon.'

And she was gone before I could even blink my eyes.

"Sister? Are you alright? You were glowing awhile ago and your color is back," Aiden said worriedly. Now that I can see clearly, his eyes were red from crying. "Please don't leave me. I won't force you to move and stay with me, just don't leave me like mother."

He was crying again.

"Aiden," I called him with a smile. "Do you trust me?"

He gave me a nod. I held the dagger that was still pierced on my chest.

"Then, I won't die," I said before pulling the dagger out of my chest.

I was dumb to think it won't hurt. I screamed and coughed out blood and screamed again before passing out cold.

I wished I had just died peacefully than to experienced the excruciating pain.
