First Person POV

We all looked to one another a bit worried. We didn't know what to expect. None of us have had much experience with ice powers before. We'd just have to stay strong and do what we had to.

Hans rides forward and turns to address everyone. "We are here to find Princess Anna. Be on guard, but no harm is to come to the Queen. Do you understand?" Hans dismounts from his horse looking at all his men and myself of course, but he knew I'd do what I was supposed to. The other men, not so much.

"Yes, sir." One of the volunteers speaks up.

I glance around at everyone and I notice the two guards the Duke sent looking at each other like they had a whole plan of their own. It worried me.

Hans steps forwards towards the large staircase, but before he can get close enough the large pile of snow next to the stair turns revealing a large head. It was an alive snow creature! How is that possible!?! It slams it's hands into the ground hard standing up to its full height. The horses whinny terrified and so were the men, but we couldn't abandon our duty or leave Hans at the hands of this snow beast.

Some of the soldiers jump off their horse's and go to Hans' aid. Hans removes his sword from his sheath and holds his sword steady. The monster roars loudly and swings it's hand down at Hans trying to hit him. Hans was faster and dodges the swing. I couldn't just sit there any longer. I quickly dismount off my horse and grab a sword from a soldier. As the beast tries to attack Hans again a group of soldiers throw their spears at him while the Duke's men shoot at him with crossbows. That didn't make the beast happy. He swings his arms down at his side roaring louder than before as spikes shoot out from his body giving him another layer of protection. My eyes widened in shock.

The beast swung his arm down and I barely had time to dodge it. The Duke's men weren't so lucky. They were flung back into a large pile of snow. Thankfully it didn't knock them out. I watch their gaze as they sit up. Elsa is closing the doors of her castle. She looks terrified.

I see the men grab their weapons as one of them calls out, "The Queen!"

The two rush forward up the staircase. Before I have the chance to run after them, the beast swings his arm down sending a few men, Hans, and I to the ground. I groan a bit, but I look to Hans who meets my gaze. We then look after the two men knowing what they want to do to the queen.

"Come on!" The other calls out as they make their way up the stairs.

We couldn't focus on them right now. We had a large snow beast to stop. We continue to fight him off, but he's extremely strong which makes sense for his side. I swing at his arm as it comes down for me causing him to cry out when I make it into the snow, but it didn't stop him. He swings his arm back around and sends me back into the large pile of snow behind me.

I groan in pain dropping my sword trying to catch my breath. I look ahead of me and I see Hans knocked to the ground. He shakes his head trying to focus. I see the beast lift his foot to slam down on him.

I cry out. "Hans, above you!!!"

Hans looks up seeing the large foot and does a barrel roll to the side barely missing being smashed by a mear 2 feet. He reaches out and grabs his sword stumbling to his feet. He rushes under the beast and cuts through his entire left leg. The beast cries out in pain, stumbling back trying to keep balanced.

Hans rushes for the stairs. "Come on!"

All of us get to our feet and rush for the stairs, but the beast sees that. He stumbles back towards the ledge near the staircase. Hans looks back at the beast seeing him reach his large clawed hand out. My eyes widened terrified. I couldn't lose him.

"Hans!!!" I cry out trying to quicken my pace, but it doesn't matter.

The beast crashes his hand through the ice staircase, right where Hans his, as he falls. Hans grips tightly to the edge of the staircase to keep from falling to certain death. He watches as the beast falls down into the deep cavern. Hans then looks up above needing help before his arm gives way. He swings his right arm up dropping his sword on the stairs as he reaches both arms up trying to pull himself onto solid ground. I rush up to him grabbing his arm and pulling him up onto the stairs with the help of another guard.

Hans stumbles into me and I catch him holding him close. "Are you alright?"

He looks up at me and small smiles. " Couldn't be better, I'm in the arms of the most beautiful girl in the world."

I blush, but it's easily hidden by my already pink cheeks from the cold. "Now is not the time for compliments, come on, we have to get inside and stop those two before they hurt the queen."

Hans nods quickly regaining his breath. A soldier hands him his sword and we all rush inside the ice castle. We had no time to enjoy the scenery; we quickly make our way up the stairs and into the main room. We skid to a stop as Hans stretches his arms out to prevent us from going farther. There is Elsa using her ice magic. On one side one of the Duke's men is held to the wall by ice spikes with one right at his neck the other his being pushed to the edge of the broken balcony where he'll fall to his death.

"Queen Elsa! Don't be the monster they fear you are!" Hans calls out trying to reason with her.

Elsa stops her magic pushing the ice forward towards the man at the balcony and slowly looks back at Hans and the rest of us. Her eyes are full of fear. She pants for air realizing what she was doing. He was right. She wasn't an evil killer. She was just scared.

I look over and see the man who still had his crossbow lifting it up slowly pointing it at Elsa. He was gonna kill her when her guard was down. I wouldn't let that happen. I rush over to the man and force his arm upwards as he pulls the trigger, the arrow going through the top of the ice chandelier. He struggles using his strength to slam me to the ground, but it was too late. I turn to look. I see Elsa gasp and rush forward as the chandelier starts to fall. Hans rushes over towards me. In his eyes I could see he wanted to protect me from the chandelier's shattering ice, that would be as sharp as broken glass, but it was falling too fast. Elsa stumbles, tripping over her dress and Hans slips on the ice. The chandelier shatters sending its shards out everywhere. No one was completely safe and I saw Elsa drop.
