Wala pa rin silang pasok ngayon. Three days kasi yung retreat and that means, Monday na ulit yung pasok nila. Friday na ngayon and Den and Ly didn't see each other yesterday kasi may practice sila Ly maghapon. And she feels like she has to keep her distance muna, just so she won't get her hopes up too high.

"Den, aalis ka ba tonight?" Her mom asked when she entered her room.

"Di ko pa po sure, mom. I have some stuff to do pa po eh." Den answered. "Why po?"

"Wala naman. Pinagpaalam ka kasi ulit ni Alyssa sakin." Her mom said. "Is she courting you?"

"What? Mom, no!" Den answered.

"That's not what she told me earlier." Sabi ng mommy niya while smiling.

"P-po?" Den stuttered.

"Nagpaalam siya if she can court you." Sabi ni Tita Arlene.

"She did?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Den.

Her mom nodded, "News for you, Ms. Lazaro, you have a new suitor now."

"M-mom.." Den said.

"Bakit, ayaw mo ba?" Tanong ng mommy niya.

"Mom, she's Alyssa." She stood up and may kinuha sa drawer ng bed side table niya. "This Alyssa." She said, holding the towel that Alyssa lend her last year.

"I know. And I'm happy for you." Sabi ng mommy niya.

"Do you think its going to be worth it, mom?" Den asked.

"As long as it makes you happy, yes, sweetie. Its all worth it." She answered and smiled. "Does she make you happy?"

"Always, mom. Very much." Den answered.

"Then, you better get those papers done so you can watch her later." Her mom happily said.

"Thanks, mom." Den said and they hugged.

Her mom went out of the room, smiling. She's just happy that she can now see her daughter's real smiles again. Since her husband died, this is the first time again that she's seen Den this happy. Yes, she smiles but she knows those weren't real ones. But, this one, now, with Alyssa, its real and she's just so happy for Den. Pagbaba niya, she saw Alyssa sitting on their couch.

"Tita." Sabi ni Alyssa and bineso yung mommy ni Den.

"Oh, Alyssa? You're here again?" Tanong niya.

"Uhm, yes po, tita. Ano lang po, uh--"

"What's the matter?" Tanong niya ulit.

"Ano po, d-did you tell her po?" Ly asked. Den's mom creased her forehead. "About courting her?"

"Oh, that. Yeah, why? Did you changed your mind?" The older lady asked.

"N-no. No po, tita." Ly said. "I just planned to surprise her lang po sana later sa gig. But, its fine. I'll just push through with it."

"Yes, you can still do your surprise. She's as clueless as you are." She said and smiled at Ly.

"P-po?" Ly asked.

"Wala. Sige na, I need to go to work. Your dad will kill me." Tita Arlene jokingly said.

"We both know he will never." Ly said and smiled.
