A week after the concert, Alyssa's still on a bit of the high. Also, since its summer, she really fulfilled her promise to Adam that she'll continue singing. For now, kay Den lang muna. They're in her room now 'cause they just came from her therapy.
"Babe, what if you try playing? Sabi naman ni doc, pwede daw as long as you'll finish all your sessions before the season." Den said.
Ly sighed and put her guitar down, "Babe, alam mo naman na gusto ko rin 'to, diba? I mean, gusto ko maglaro, oo. But, I've also waited for this."
"For?" Den asked.
"For the truth. For us to be free. For us to stop worrying about what people will think of us." Ly said, held Den's hand and kissed it. "This will be better than any championships or MVP awards. Tsaka, diba they'll pull me out nga. Di rin naman nila ako tatanggapin ulit even if we insist to them na I'm fine. Don't worry, I'll still make you proud. Adam's pick, got us!" She said and raised the guitar pick she's holding.
"You've made me proud already in ways no one else but me, sees. You don't have to prove yourself to me or to anyone, babe." Den said.
"And I'm making you even prouder once we let the whole world know!" Ly said and started tickling Den.
"Aaaahhh, babe! Stop! Hahahaha! Tama na, babe! Hahaha!" Den said. Ly stopped when someone knocked on her door.
"Aly, anak! May naghahanap sayo sa baba!" Sabi ni Nanay Elsa, sabay katok sa pinto.
Alyssa opened the door and Nanay Elsa's eyes grew wide when she saw Den fixing her clothes.
"Nay? Okay lang po kayo?" Ly asked. "Tara na--"
"Anong ginawa niyo?" She asked.
"Po? Wala po. Naglaro lang kami ni Den. Asa na po yu--" Di na naman natapos ni Alyssa yung sasabihin niya.
"Naglaro ng ano?!" Tanong ulit ng matanda.
"Hi, nay!" Bati ni Den sa kanya. "Okay lang po kayo?"
"Anong nilaro niyo?" Tanong niya pa ulit.
"Bakit, nay? Sasali po kayo?" Biro ni Alyssa.
"Ikaw talagang bata ka!" Sabi ni Nanay Elsa at hahampasin sana si Alyssa pero tumalon siya pababa ng hindi man lang naghahagdan. May couch kasi na babagsakan sa baba.
"Hindi naman po kami naglaro, nay. Kiniliti kasi ako niyan." Den said sabay turo kay Alyssa. "Don't worry, nay. Behave lang po kami. Promise." She said and smiled at Nanay Elsa.
"Siguraduhin niyo, ah? Alam niyong kahit hindi ganun kabigat ang magiging responsibilidad niyo ay masama pa rin kung magtata--"
"Nay, yung virgin ears ko po, nadudumihan!" Ly said and laughed. "Alam na po namin yana and we won't do it, unless Valdez na yang si Den. Diba, babe?" She said and winked at Den. "So, asan na po yung naghahanap sakin?"
"Andiyan sa labas. Di na raw papasok eh." Nanay Elsa said habang naiiling na lang.
Lumabas sila Alyssa at Den and saw Deej outside.
"Oh, unggoy! Bakit ka na naman andito?" Ly asked as she opens the gate.
"Hi, Aly! Hi, Den!" Deej greeted them. Den jusr smiled at him. "Pinapabigay ni mama oh." He said and handed Alyssa a paper bag. "Cookies yan tsaka lasagna. Niluto niya."
"Naks. Kilala ba ako ng mama mo at pinadalhan ako? Pero, thank you! Sa wakas, nagbigay ka rin ng kinakain ko." Ly said and chuckled.
"Ha?" Deej said.
"Ay. I don't eat kare-kare and chicken curry kasi. Yung binigay mo sakin dati? Hehe." Ly said.
"Ay, ganun ba. Sige, wala ng kare-kare at curry next time." Deej said.
